Chapter 45

Lenas POV

Things in the Danvers-Luthor household have calmed down. I think what everyone needed was to talk through it. Kara apologized for scaring Emery and of course Emery was quick to just Jump in her lap and hold her close.

I have only 18 weeks left until I'm due. With our baby being half human half kryptonian we aren't sure if it will develop powers or not, Guaranteed Kara didn't until this last year but her cousin got them as soon as being on earth.

The girls have 2 weeks until they have to go back to school after summer break.

Kara and I talked and originally before I got pregnant we were planning something and were going to ask Alex, sam, Ruby, Winn, and Eliza and J'onn if they wanted to join us. Then I got pregnant and it's been really tough. I'm not even sure she remembers our conversation. I would like to take the girls somewhere even if it's just for the day or so to celebrate before school starts back up again

I'm sitting in my office now, Jess knows that I am pregnant, it's pretty hard to hide it from my assistant but I have been doing all of my meeting Virtually and thankfully no one seems to mind right now.

I have to work a little later today. Since school let out  Jo stays with Emery unless she wants to do something then we don't force her to watch her. Since the penthouse and L-Corp are only a couple blocks away Jo is walking here after kara gets home around 3. I don't even get off until 7 tonight but she wanted to just come which I don't mind at all.

"Ms.Luthor, Ms.Danvers is here" Jess says over the phone

"It's quite alright; and please when we're alone it's Lena" I reply

"Yes, Ms.Luthor- Lena" she says and I chuckle and Kara walks through the door

"Thank you Jess" I say and get off the phone

"Hello darling" I smile and she comes over and sits in my lap

"Everything okay?" I ask

"Yea, I just missed you" she says and I chuckle softly

"Kara hunny, I just seen you this morning" I smile

"I know but I still missed you" she smiles and gives me a kiss

"We'll know that you are here how about we talk about vacation?" I ask and she perks up

"Yea?" She ask excitedly and I smile and nod

"Wherever you want to go" I say

"The beach" she says

"Anywhere and you choose the beach?" I ask

"Yes! Then Everyone can come with us and we can get a beach house! And swim in the ocean! Please Lee?" She ask

"Of course love, we can do the beach" I smile and give her another kiss as she smiles

"Ah I love you" she chuckles

"We can leave Monday if that works with you?" I ask. I might have already looked at the schedule and talked with Jess about what my schedule can do, I can move all of my meetings besides two I have on Wednesday but i can virtually do those wherever we are

"Um, I think so. I have vacation time and we have been slow at Catco." She says and I smile

"Okay, well we will book it tonight. Reach out to everyone to see if they want to come along so we know. Let them know we'll take care of everything financially" I say and she nods

"I will call Alex as soon as I get back to Catco, I love you Lena" she says

"I love you even more darling" I smile
