🦋It always gets worse before it can get better. But it will get better. Like everything else, and like our past struggles, at some point, we win, but before that win, there's always that loss that spurs us on.🦋A month has passed and it was the beginning of April. The cherry blossoms were blooming and the grass looked greener as the sun was high above glistening upon the nature beneath it, showing its true raw colors.
Not too long ago things were different. So many things had happened in your life in such a short period, but you managed to pull through and came out on the bright side of things because it felt like everything you knew was going to end.
Well, not completely.
You still had nightmares from time to time from the events that happened not too long ago. Screams, cries, and the sounds of gunshots rung through your ears when you were in dreamland, but Ray was always there to lull you back to sleep when needed.
Speaking of Ray, he managed to get himself out of the way when it came to the incident at the abandoned warehouse where you were held as a hostage. He paid off some people that he knew to make the scene look like it was an accidental explosion by a group of underground drug dealers, who were supposedly experimenting in their lab that caused the explosion.
Conny's case was closed, seeing that they couldn't find a lead on who was the cause of her death and couldn't find any evidence or any trace on Ray, since he had everything well thought out and didn't leave any traces of his DNA behind.
It was a sad case for the poor girl, and it was saddening that her parents had to grieve over her death. All of it was due to her getting herself involved with drugs and underground drug dealers, even if Ray was a part of it.
You felt mixed emotions when it came to everything. You were sad and hurt by the woman's death but then again, she forced Ray's hand and if he didn't react in time enough, he would've been in the position that she's in.
As for Anna...
She pulled through and made it.
Before you and Ray went to the cliff to talk about everything that was going on at the time, Ray dropped Anna off to one of his private doctors to save her before she would've died from too much blood loss from her shoulder's gun wound.
You and Anna had a rough relationship, but even though the both of you didn't see eye to eye and were no longer friends, you made a mutual agreement to act as if all of this never happened. And you both decided to stay far away from one another.
But deep down you knew for a fact that it was impossible. There's too much trauma buried in the both of you and you would never forget it. It wasn't happening, even if you pretended it didn't. You can't ignore what was present and you surely couldn't ignore the large elephant that was sitting in the room.
Ray was still suffering from his actions and was facing the backlash of everything. He was taking medication when needed. He suffered from depression and anxiety from his actions and had to go to therapy. The raven-haired male made some small improvements but there was no denying that he was still going to face his demons for a very long time.
Overall, he still felt guilt. No matter where he would go, what he would do, no matter how much help he would get from you or his friends and family around him, he still felt horrible about killing Conny and getting his friends and family involved in his mess.
