As I lay on the cold, hard ground, I watch as the tears spill from the only family I've ever had.
"Remember when we were kids and we would hang out at that old abandoned mine?" I asked my boyfriend
"Yeah... weird place to hang huh?" He replied in a shaky voice while chuckling a bit.
"Yeah.... We were never able to reach the end of the tunnel because we were too scared..." I said reminding him of old memories.
"Yeah.... What about it?" He asked while smiling through his tears.
"Not much..... when I leave.... Promise me you'll see what's at the end.... I might just be waiting for you on the other side..." and with that... I took my last breath.
