Hello my readers! Hymn of Death is a Korean drama based on real life events. The setting is in Japan while they had control over Korea. A man, U-Jin, and his fellow troupe made plays about the Korean people losing their freedom while a soprano opera singer was falling in love with him and shared his ideals. Both people tried to forget the other as time went on, but were unable to and fate brought them back together.
I do give this show a 7/10. The acting was amazing and the scenes changed flawlessly (I'm not a specialist, so to me it looked good). Luckily, it gives you a hint to what happens in the beginning which makes it less heart wrenching but, it was still sad. If you like films or shows based on historic events this is for you. It is available on Netflix and kissasian.li.
