This horror flick follows a psychologist who only wanted to help people from their mental illnesses due to having a traumatic experience as a child. She had received a patient who was so badly distraught to the point she knew something dark was following her. With a menacing smile, the curse was given to the therapist who has to escape her dark mind before the menacing smile gets her.

I'll give this psychological horror a 4/10. This film was a lot like "It Follows" but with a more gory twist. Smile hits a lot of points for mental illness and trauma and even has a message within the dark film. The jump scares were not that bad and sometimes the music gave it away when one was going to happen. I personally figured the film out basically after the first girl had committed suicide. I will say this, it really focuses on trauma and how the reality is with those who have to deal with it. Reason I gave it a 4 was because the ending was really bad and sent the wrong message for those who do suffer from traumatizing events in their lives. Another reason is the fact it should have had some trigger warnings in case there were people in the audience who suffers from such things. Here is a spoiler alert (any my analysis because I took psychology back in college); the trauma are the people's inner demon that they have to face otherwise they may not get better. If anyone who reads this does have anything that fits this category, I do not recommend you  watch this. And for those who are suffering from depression or are thinking about committing suicide, please don't and seek help. You are not alone and there are people who love you. Don't let your inner demon get you, you kick that inner demon of yours out. The film is currently out in theaters and I hope you enjoy!
