Klaus was of the opinion that your current partner was not right for you. In fact, he was very adamant that they didn't deserve you and they weren't how they said they were when you weren't around. He hated them. You never believed Klaus, thinking that he was just jealous (as he was in love with you - but you told him he could never have you until he quit drugs). Of course Klaus greatly struggled, and failed. But then you did believe him, when your partner yelled at you for no reason, really scaring you. Klaus was a bit angry that it took so long for you to realize, but he was there to look after you still. He couldn't leave.
