"I envy you."

I looked at you as you uttered those words. You were staring catatonically at the ocean of stars as if your mind is wandering to another galaxy. It was cold here in the rooftop but having you beside me makes my heart feels warm. I got the chance to look at your face that magnets more attention than the starry night. Your face is really like a work of art specially your eyes...it's captivating. When I look at it I always see something that makes me want to dive into you and just drown.

"Why?"

I asked without taking my eyes off of you.

"You're talented," you started.

"You're intelligent, you can write songs and myriad poetry. You can play the guitar, you're competent and you're always at the top of your class. And your heart...your heart is kind too."

I was flattered by those words coming from that mouth of yours. Many had complimented me like that but to hear it coming from you is one of the best things in my life.

"Thank you...for appreciating me but you know what? I really feel bitter sweet. At some point it makes me happy, but it makes me sad too...because given the aptitudes I have,

I still can't have you."
