Chapter 3

Hakeem POV

Wassup it's Hakeem the Prince of this Empire.

Anyway I'm in the studio making some tracks when pops interrupts me.

I walk out the booth and I see this fine ass girl bruh she was like damn!!!! Well anyway we head out the studio and talk a bit.

"That's pretty it's different I like it? How old are you Ms. Cortez?"

"I'm 21 and you?"

"21 so what do you do?"

"For starters I'm your mother's assistant and I used to be a daycare assistant?"

"Oh for real that's coo so cookie sent you to come get me like I'm some kid?"

"Yeah she did" she says with a little giggle.

"You cute?"

"Uh um thank you" she says blushing a bit.

We get to Cookie's office and it's just silence until I sit down and we talk.

"What is it cookie?"

"Boy don't you be saying no what is it cookie me I just called you in here to say I talked to Jamal about you being last for the legacy album?"

"Okay and...what did he say"

"He said that quote "mom you said that I can do it and why he gotta do it" an I quote on quote said "ya know what I'll just put Luscious as the end" so do you think I should put Luscious as the ending"

"I don't know go ask him he's in the studio with Dre and Mal"

"I'll go ask him I'll be right back Porsha!!..."

"What girl?"

"Watch these 2?" She says referring to me and Danessa.

"Okay I'm all eyes and ears.

She walks out the room and it's just complete silence.

"So? What do you like to do" I ask looking at Danessa play with her nails.

"Oh um well I like to write poems and listening to The Beatles I'm a complete Hippie"

"You seem like you are and do you have any siblings?"

"Yeah I have 2 twin brothers they are a handful"

"How old are they pardon me asking?"

"They are both 2 they'll be 3 tomorrow"

"So you a very busy woman?"

"Yeah I am? Well since you playing 21 questions can I ask you a few?"

"Yeah sure?"

"What do you like to do on your days off from being a rapper?"

"I like to make music even though I'm on my days off and that'll probably be it?"

Just then Cookie walks in with my father right behind her.

"Ms. Cortez can you please go get me some coffee and make it de-caffeinated please and put 1 sugars and a vanilla in it also?"

"Okay I'll be right back"

She walks out the room and it's just me and them.

"So son I heard you wanted to be on the last part of the legacy album?"

"Yeah I did but then cookie decided to put you in as being last"

"Oh she did did she"

"Yeah she did cause Jamal had a problem with me going last"

"I bet he did,Cookie whose this assistant you hired she seems nice"

"Oh you mean Ms. Cortez she's nice,she's extremely shy it seems like"

"Yeah she is shy" I chim in.

"How'd you know did you two get to know each other while I was gone?"

"Yeah she pretty coo?"

Danessa POV

I was so nervous talking to Hakeem he is so cute and we'll fine. He seem chill but I'm guessing that's just a front.

"Here you go Ms. Lyons anything else you want me to do?"

"No nothing else why don't you take a seat"

"Oh thank you I hope I'm not interrupting anything"

"Your not Ms. Cortez?" Luscious says.

"Oh okay I'll just sit here then"

I take a seat and it's just awkward until they finish talking and my phone rings I look and see it's my brothers daycare.

I answer it an go outside.

"Hello"

"Hi Ms.Cortez this is the day care and we have a problem your brothers are going to the hospital"

"Th-The hospital why? What happened?"

"Your brothers had an episode can you please hurry up and come to the hospital"

"Uh um sure let me just tell my boss I'll be there soon tell them don't worry?"

"Okay I'll tell them bye Ms. Cortez"

"Bye Mrs. Smith"

I hang up the phone and open the door when I bump into Hakeem and I fall straight on the ground.

"Uh I'm sorry Danessa that's my bad you ight?"

I look up

"Yeah I'm fine no it's my fault"

"Well you can at least let me help you up"

He reaches out his hand an I grab it,I get up and I walk pass him.

I close the door behind me.

"I'm sorry Ms. Lyons that was my brothers daycare and it was an emergency they're in the hospital they had a seizure"

"A seizure? You can leave I hope they're alright tell them they're in my prayers"

"Oh thank you so much I will I'll make up everything tomorrow"

I wave goodbye to her and I head out her office and I take the elevator I wait for it to open when it finally does I get in an I see it's Andre Luscious's oldest son.

"Hi you must be the new assistant I've never seen you around here before oh yeah I'm Andre?"

"Yeah I am and nice to meet you Andre I'm Danessa"

We shake hands and continue talking.

"So what is my mother asking you to get her now?"

"Oh no I'm leaving I have to get to the hospital to see my twins"

"Oh I'll see you soon"

The elevator stops and I get off an head to the hospital to see my little babies.
