You shouldn't be reading this. This is not your average tale. This story is full of doom, gloom, and overall, too many things that shouldn't be written down. You should probably look away from this story and go find something more pleasant to read rather than cower in fear at the sight of this story.
For those of you still reading, proceed with caution.
Our story begins in a magical place. A place where everyone was happy, kind, and free to do whatever they put their minds to. This place was called Glorious Isle, and it was created singlehandedly by a young mortal by the name of Dusk Marie Stone. Dusk was a young mortal of sixteen years at the time this event took place, and since then, people had often talked about what happened to this young girl.
She sat with some of her friends in the dining cabin. Where all the islanders had gathered to eat their meals and socialize with their friends. She sat at one of the tables with three girls, all of them were a few years younger than her. They called themselves The Creative Crew. Maisie, Virginia, and McKenna were their names, and all of them were kind, pretty, and, as the name suggests, very creative!
"So, Kenzie. How are you and Ben doing? Are you guys ever going to become a thing?" Dusk questioned, hinting about Kenzie's close friendship with Ben Hargreeves. "U-Uh, we're doing fine. We're still friends, but we haven't talked that much," McKenna slightly stuttered, trying to hide the blushing in her cheeks at the memories of her and Ben together. "You ever going to get around to confessing to him?" Maisie asked, taking a sip of her drink. "It's not that I don't want to confess to him. I want him to confess to me," Kenzie responded, feeling her heart now began to pound.
The girls continued talking and bringing up their crushes, with Maisie's being Five Hargreeves and Nicky Harper. Virginia's being Klaus Baudelaire, and Dusk's being Quigley Quagmire and Klaus Hargreeves. "Dusky, just curious, what makes you feel so attracted to Quigley and Klaus?" Virginia asked. "Well, Klaus is so funny and so sweet. Every time I'm down, he knows exactly what to say to make me laugh. And Quigley, how do I explain him? He's a sweetheart as well, and he always tries to protect me from harm," Dusk answered.
The three other crew members glanced at each other with knowing smiles as Dusk began to blush a deep red. Secretly, she loved the two boys dearly, but she didn't know how to admit it to them. Not only that, but she was also worried about what they would think when she admitted that she loved them both and couldn't decide who she would rather be with. "Dusk, are you alright?" Maisie asked, bring the raven out of her thoughts. "Y-yeah, just deep in thought," Dusk said, resting her hand against the side of her face.
"Well, we should probably clear out of here so Alex, Jessica, and Nicky can get ready for dinner," Dusk sighed, hearing the clanging of metal pots coming from inside the kitchen. The crew nodded and walked out, saying that they would meet up with each other at dinner. As she walked back to her cabin, Dusk caught the faint glimpse of Klaus helping out Dawn Harper with potting some flowers near one of the pathways. Her heart began to ache as she longed for him, but as she looked up at the observation tower where her other crush looked through his telescope, her heart began to ache even more.
Two boys, one MAJOR crush on either of them. What am I going to do? Dusk silently asked herself as she opened the door to her cabin and got changed into nicer clothes. Clothes that wouldn't make it feel like mosquitos were eating her alive. the dinner went on like normal, but Dusk couldn't help but look over her shoulder and see Klaus talking to his sisters Vanya and Allison. Occasionally, he would take notice of her watching and waved at her, making her wave back. Quigley sat right across the table from her, becoming a little bit jealous of Dusk looking in Klaus's direction.
