"Alright, and that should do it!" Dusk smiled, satisfied that she had finally finished making her portion for the Thanksgiving feast. The kitchen counters were covered in dirty dishes, spoons, forks, and every other meal prep item in existence. She had worked tirelessly for four and a half hours just to be sure the food didn't burn. "Mmm! Smells delicious!" Klaus inhaled sharply as he walked into the kitchen to grab some water. "Thanks, babe. Finally got the Apple pie, Cherry pie, and cranberry salad ready for tomorrow," Dusk explained, wiping her floury hands on her apron.

Klaus's eyes widened at the look of the golden crispy pies, and he became so tempted to take the tiniest bite out of the pie. "And no, you cannot touch the pies until dinner tomorrow. You know how Mom is about people eating the pies early," Dusk called out. "Oh, alright. Since you're doing the dessert, what are Maisie, Nicky, and Five working on?" He asked. "Five said they would be bringing the ham and stuffing. Saves Mom some time to work on the turkey,"

The raven wouldn't admit it, but this Thanksgiving was going to feel a bit weird. Usually, she would spend Thanksgiving with her mom and who she used to call her dad. But since the divorce and the discovery of her twin brother, the house was going to feel unusually full. Something that she wasn't normally used to on a holiday like this.

Quigley took notice of his girlfriend's far-off look and began to wonder if she was okay. He touched her shoulder, bringing her out of her state and making her look at him. "What's bothering you?" He asked. "The last time Thanksgiving came around it was me, Mom, and... him. I'm worried he's gonna come back and ruin the holiday for all of us," Dusk whispered, remembering that monster.

"Dusky, don't you worry, he's not going to come back. He made his choice not to be part of the family anymore. And even if he does come, you know Five will kick his ass," Klaus consoled.  "I guess so," she responded, hoping that those words spoke the truth.

The nearby alarm clock began to go off at around 6:30 in the morning in the cabin of Maisie, Five, and Nicky. Letting out a soft groan, Maisie turned onto her side and slammed her hand down on the snooze button, shutting it up instantly. Her eyes slowly opened and closed and she looked over to see Five still sleeping peacefully. But when she looked at Nicky's spot on the bed, she noticed it was empty.

Before she had the chance to worry, the smell of fresh cooking lingered in the bedroom, beginning to fully wake her. She crawled out of bed, careful not to wake Five as she made her way to the kitchen, expecting to see her other boyfriend hard at work in the kitchen, but instead he was sitting at the counter, staring at the oven as if he was watching paint dry.

"Oh, I didn't realize you were up yet," Nicky gasped when he noticed his girlfriend's presence. "I figured you were probably cooking something. I could smell it from our room," She explained, taking a seat next to him. "Yeah, I had to get up early and make the ham," Nicky nodded, watching the minutes tick by on the oven. Footsteps soon echoed down the hall and Five walked in, wiping the tired out of his eyes.

As the ham continued to bake, the three of them sat on the couch, cuddling one another as they watched the Thanksgiving Parade live from New York City. "Oh my gosh! Check out that Stewie float!" Maisie pointed out as the big-headed float was guided down the streets, dozens of other floats like it were trailing close behind. Within about an hour of watching the remainder of the parade, Nicky got up to finish prepping the ham. "Are you excited for dinner with your family, Five?" Maisie asked, looking over at him.
