POV: Normani's 

Its been a whole week and I'm miserable. As promised I took some time away from Y/N, went on church asking God for direction but it's like he's ignoring my plea

This week has definitely helped me with my thoughts and all and I realize that this really how I feel....I like her but I feel like somethings holding me back, no doubt it's my religious family

Not only that, but I realize I don't know her like that, so maybe this is just a crush

It was now dark out and I was doing homework at my desk in my room when I heard a knock on my window

"What are your doing!?" I whisper yelled when I saw Y/N outside of my window

Its kind of late now so most likely my parents and sisters are asleep. Nevertheless I rushed over to the window and let her in. Once she was in she just smiles down at me

"What?" I asked looking away hiding my blush

"Nothing. I just missed you, I haven't seen or heard from you in a week" she said before pouting

"I know, I've been busy with school and all" I replied. Well I wasn't lying that was apart of the reason

All of the sudden she pulled me into a hug, I was a bit shocked but I hugged back

"I see your busy" she said after pulling away

"I'm finished actually" I said walking over on my table to close my books

"Good, cause I wanna cuddle" she said as she hugged me from behind

"You wanna cuddle with me?" I asked dumbfounded, it shouldn't be surprising because we've cuddled before

"No...I was wanna cuddle with the air. Yes you Mani" with that she walked over to my bed and looked around as she took off her air forces

I smiled at her calling me by my nickname and made my way on to the bed as well, falling right on top of her only for her to flip me over. She just looked down at me

"How long have you been interested in girls? As in how did you know you liked girls" I blurted and she rolled on to the space she was previously

"Well, my whole life really. It wasn't really a choice cause you know..." she trailed off and pointed to her crotch "but even then I wasn't really into boys"

"Oh" I answered

"That was random, why'd you ask me that out of the blue?"

"I- I was just curious" I said

"Okay" she laid her head on my chest and wrapped her arm around me, caressing the clothed area of my side

We laid in silence and again my mouth started moving "So...I applied for a few colleges"

"That's great babygirl. Have any of them responded?" She asked fixing herself so that she was on top of me and her legs were between mine as she rest her chin on my chest and looked at me

"I have actually, two of the four..." I trailed off

"Well, which one are you going for?"

"My dream school is in LA, that was one of them that replied and the other one is here in Houston" I whispered

"So your moving to LA then" she said sitting up

"I'm still thinking"

"Normani it's your dream school, why would you not want to go there? Nows your chance to-"

"Mani? You alright in there?" I heard my mom ask. My heart beat picked up and I heard her knock on the door

"Get up" I whispered

"And go where?" Y/N asked getting up never the less

"I don't know...uh, the bed"

"You want me to go under your bed?" She asked looking at me like I was crazy

"Mani?" I heard my mother call out again

"I'm not going under there" Y/N argued and I pushed her into my closet just in time for my mother to walk in. I thought I bolted the door but obviously I didn't

"I didn't hear you answer, I got worried. Are you okay?" She asked and I nodded

"Yeah mom, I was just using the bathroom" I lied, for the first time in my life I lied to my mother

"Oh, okay. Go back to bed, you have school in the morning" she said before leaving. This time I made sure to bolt the door

"Your a bad girl...you lied to your mom" Y/N said, I turned and saw her seated at the edge of my bed

"Yeah I guess your rubbing off on me" I replied

"I have a proposition but I know you might turn it down"

"Just say it"

"Skip school...come with me to and spend the day somehwere. Just let the road lead us"

"You want me to skip school?" I asked as my eyes widened

"The choice is yours" she shrugged

I really want to spend more time with her and get to know her more but I can't skip school. I've never missed and day of school ever in my life

"Can't we just go after school?" I asked

"Whatever you wanna do babe" she said and pulled me on top of her as she layed back on the bed

I slightly blushed at her calling me babe. God she makes me blush more than Masi ever did

"Good, cause I need to maintain my perfect attendance" I smiled

"I can see that. I was more like a 'fuck school' type of student. Don't be like me though"

"Really your gonna tell me not to be like you after you tried to get me to skip school" I laughed lightly

"You got a point" she chuckled

We got under the covers together and cuddled until we fell asleep. When I woke up Y/N wasn't there, but I saw she sent me a good morning text

I smiled at her text before replying good morning. After doing that I started my morning routine to get ready for school. I also packed a few set of clothes as I thought of staying the weekend with Y/N but of course I told my parents I was spending the weekend at Ally's and that I'd be back for church on Sunday.

They seemed to buy it. So after breakfast, dad drove the twins and I to school. My dad is still upset with me for what happened between us but he's coming around, I guess that's good
