POV: Normani's

As promised, Y/N was down in a minute and was ignoring the quarreling shorter girl behind her

"You ready?" Y/N asked and I nodded whilst standing up

She carried my suitcase to the car as I walked behind her

"Really Y/N! Your just gonna ignore me when I'm talking to you!?"

"India, what the hell is your problem?" Y/N snapped as she whipped around to face the other girl who I now know as India

"The problem is, that this bitch right here can barge in and wake you up to give her a ride to God knows where amd you agree to do it!" She yelled

I looked around me to see who she was calling the b word cause I know for a fact it can't be me

"Excuse me? Who's the bitch? I know it ain't me but by the way your acting I kind of figure it out now" I chimed in looking India up and down

"First of all, she's not a bitch and how does that even concern you?" Y/N asked as she opened the door to the passenger seat

"Now your acting like an asshole...you do recall that I'm your girlfriend right?" India asked, rolling her neck

I thought it would've rolled off her body due to how hard she was rolling it

Now those words struck me hard and I looked between the two who were busy glaring at each other before grabbing my suitcase

"I'll just walk" I said softly

POV: Third Person

As normani started her way to her grandmother's house, Y/N and India were still at it, going back and forth with each other. Not one of them realized that Normani was no longer standing there

"India we aren't together and we both agreed on that so why are you fussing about this minor thing I'm doing?" Y/N asked the shorter girl

"Because the least little thing I do you complain-"

"I complain!? Really how can I complain when we aren't together? India this is the exact same reason we broke up, at this point we don't know each other. I'm just another person in the world that doesn't know you okay, now if you'll excuse me I have something to d-" Y/N cut herself off when she turned around and didn't see Normani

"I guess she's leaving you too huh?" India asked before heading inside the house to pack her stuff

Normani was about 15 minutes into her walk by now, her parents still clueless as to what's going on with their eldest daughter

Another 5 minutes passed and Normani was still walking. She kept looking behind her as she walked along the lonely road. She heard a car coming her way which only made her pick up her pace

The rain was starting to come down, it wasn't too hard but it wasn't soft either. The car slowed down right beside her but Normani kept her head straight

"Get in the car"

"I don't want to cause trouble in your relationship" Normani answered coldly as soon as she recognized the voice

"Your not, just get in the car. I don't want you to get sick"

"I'm fine" Normani said

"Normani get in the fucking car!" Y/N yelled whilst blowing the horn on the car

Normani stopped in her tracks and looked over at Y/N in her car before she started walking again

Y/N sighed and started driving beside the walking girl again "I'm sorry just please get in the car"

Normani went to object as she walked on to the main road but a car drove by and splashed her with the puddle of water that was sitting there

Y/N sat in her car waiting to see what Normani would do even though she was laughing on the inside. A smirk made it way to her face when she saw the younger girl walking towards her car

That smirk fell when she saw Normani getting into the back seat along with the suitcase

"You don't wanna sit up front?" Y/N asked as she looked back at Normani from the rear view mirror

"I'm good" was all Normani said

"Where are we going?" Y/N asked as she got ready to drive off but realized she didn't know where they were heading for

"My grandmother's" Normani answered before giving Y/N the address

The car ride was silent with Y/N occasionally glancing back at Normani through the mirror, the whole time Normani was looking at the other cars , houses and trees passing as the car drove.

When the car came to a stop that's when she looked over at Y/N and realized she was in front of her grandmother's house. Normani exited the car, still neither of them saying a word that was until Normani spoke up finally breaking the silence

"What're you doing?" She asked when she saw Y/N getting out of her the car as well

"I'm walking you to the door" Y/N said in a duh tone

"Its fi- okay" Normani said cutting herself off

Y/N carried the suitcase and followed Normani to the door. She stood quietly as the younger girl knocked on the door, which shortly opened to reveal this short old dark-skinned women

"Hey grandma!" Normani yelled

"Hey my grandbaby" (A/N: y'all know this tiktok? No? Ok...) Ms. Barbara answered before pulling Normani into a hug

"Oh, grandma this is Y/N my neighbor. Y/N/N this is my grandmother Barbara" Normani said introducing the two to each other

"Oh please, call me Ms. Barb. You can come inside if you want, I made muffins" Ms. Barbara spoke up

"That's fine, but I don't want to intruder on your bonding time-" Y/N started but was cut off by the older woman

"Nonesense, come in. I made muffins"

"Muffins?" Y/N asked, her face lightening up at the sound of the desert

"Blueberry and chocolate. You choose" As Ms. Barbara said that, she pulled Y/N inside the house which caused Normani to roll her eyes

Ms. Barbara and Y/N spent time together, the older woman teaching her how to cook; baked Mac and cheese while Normani was upstairs with her cousin Noelle

The two neighbors were having a blast at the old woman's house and were oblivious to what was going on back in their community

Across from the Hamilton's, Y/N's house was on fire. Smoke floating in and around the building as the house could hardly be seen due to how high the flames were. As soon as India lit the house on fire she ran and went her own way

Arielle, Ashley and Ryan were too caught up in an argument to notice the fire next door and Mr and Mrs Hamilton were 'busy' in the bedroom

It was the neighbor beside the house that called the fire department. However, when they got there, there wasn't much left to save
