Epilogue

MASAMANG tingin ang iginawad ko sa babaeng naghahanap kay Ayen. She's so hardheaded. I kept telling her that Ayen is nowhere to be found. Pero namimilit ba namang ilabas ko si Ayen. Pasalamat rin siya na wala ang parents namin ngayon.

"Can you please tell me where is she?" may halong pagtitimping tanong nito.

Instead, I just crossed my arms over my chest. I curiously scanned her from head to toe.

"Stop chasing her. Nakipaghiwalay na siya sa'yo. So it means, you have no rights wherever she is right now. Lubayan mo ang kapatid ko," I firmly said.

She just rolled her eyes. Ang tigas talaga ng ulo.

"I'm just asking where she is! Why the fuck can't you answer it?!" napasigaw na ito ng malakas.

"Look at you, disrespecting her brother. What kind of lesbian are you? Isa kang tunay na nakakadiring tomboy at feeling lalaki. Ayusin mo muna 'yang ugali mo. Well, it's really good that you two broke up. You deserved it."

Natahimik ako nang makitang namamasa na ang mga mata nito. Walang imik naman na nagpahila na siya sa kasama niya.

Days passed like a blur. So many unexpected things had happened. Especially being engaged with Ayen's ex.

"So that clearly means, we'll be together in the same roof without any malice?" tanong ko habang nakatingin sa harap at nakaakbay pa rin sa kanya.

"Of course."

"Good. Just don't fall for me. Masasaktan ka lang."

Minsan ay napapatingin ako kay Xierl habang malakas na nagbabasa ito. She really have that kind of skill for a voice over artist. She's so focused in reading the article. I let out a small smile when I noticed that Nibbles is on her lap. They're friends now huh?

"That's my article about animal's importance," I blurted.

"Ikaw ang gumawa nito?"

"Yeah," bumaba ang tingin ko sa damit niya. "Hindi ka pa ba magbibihis? You're not comfortable with your outfit, right?"

"Well, wala rin naman akong ibang maipapalit. We knew that my closet was already full of clothes like this."

"Sabagay. Okay na rin 'yan para na rin masanay ka."

And I actually realized that she looked good of whatever clothes she will wear. She's boyish but in a classy way.

"I-cut mo yung sinabihan mo akong babe. Ayokong ma-issue sa'yo."

I chuckled.

"Ma-issue o hindi, engaged na rin naman tayo kaya no big deal na."

She softly kicked my ass that just made me laughed loudly.

"Sus, pikon!" anas ko.

Prenteng nakaupo siya sa kama habang ako naman ay maayos kong inilagay sa closet niya ang binili kong mga damit. I handed my hand to her. Napakunot naman siya ng noo na halatang labis na nagtataka.

"What?" she asked.

"Apple," I answered.

Inilahad niya ang apple na may mga kagat na. Mukhang nabigla pa siya nang kinagatan ko ang parte na kakakagat niya lang din. I just want to tease her and to see her reaction.
