August POV
(These are moments in August's life. Will be at different times in his life)
"August this is Alex and Lukas". My Dad introduced me to his long time friend and his sons. I clutched onto his shirt. I looked at Lukas. He smiled at me. I looked away, embarrassed. He was holding his dad's hand and Alex's hand.
"I'm August" I say.
"Let's be friends!" Lukas said. He held his hand out. Once I looked at him I couldn't look away. I nodded. I felt so attracted to him.
"Don't think about touching my brother!" Alex said. I got confused.
"Haha. Kids these days. He's only 8, Alex" his Dad said. Lukas grabbed my hand. We ran to the playground nearby. Playing with the toys. Eventually Alex joined us. We would play hide n seek, duck duck goose and all those silly games.
"C'mon August. We got to go home. Your mom isn't feeling well" my dad said.
"Okay papa" I said. "Byebye Lukas" I waved goodbye.
No one's POV
"That punk didn't say goodbye to me. Tch" he's definitely after Lukas. Alex thought to himself.
"August is very cool" Lukas said in amazement.
"Not cooler than your older brother" He said with a smirk.
"Way cooler" Lukas said innocently. Alex's reputation was ruined. He felt defeated. "I can't wait to see him next time!"
'This is a bit strange. He's never been so interested in someone' Alex thought.
"Let's go home now" their father said. Lukas took Alex's hand and they ran to their father. Giggling.

August POV
Sometimes I wonder if Luka and I are fated pairs. Is this love?
"Get ready for school!" I hear my dad yell.
"Yes!" I heard my sister rushing to the bathroom before I could use it. To do her makeup. I got dressed then brushed my teeth. Is it worth thinking about that? He's all I ever think about. Haha.
Mom hasn't been getting any better. I went to the parents room, saying my goodbyes to mom for the morning. She hugged me. Mom has been battling cancer for years now. We took off to school. I'll be starting 8th grade this year.
I wonder if Lukas and I will be in the same class. I saw Lukas taking to someone at the front of the school.
