Chapter 30

Lukas POV

"Goodbye"

Natalie is going to their parent's house. To surprise them.

"Goodbye Lukas" she repiled. Hugging me.

"Byebye!" She exclaimed at August.

Dragging him into a big hug.

"Bye" He muttered.

"Well. I'm off!" She said. Leaving the apartment.

"That was something" I said.

"Mn" He chuckled.

"Luka," he stared at me, "I'm taking you out today" he smiled.

"Is it a date?" I asked.

What an embarrassing question.

"Yes" He smirked.

"I'm thinking about maybe graduating this year. The graduation ceremony is... I think is next week" I told him.

"What happened to taking a break?"

"When Julius is born, I want to give him my undivided attention. Besides, instead of school I could get a job" I repiled.

"It's your choice. I'll support you no matter what" He smiled. Coming closer to me.

He held me.

-few hours later-

August didn't say where he is taking me. We passed many places; bars, restaurants, etc.

The car finally came to a stop. I didn't realize that we arrived.

"A buffet?"

It's a common restaurant buffet in America.

"It's not romantic but I thought you'd like to eat anything you'd want"

"It's good enough. Thank you" I kissed his cheek.

I got up and out of the car. I waited for him to lock the car.

After that, we entered the building.

"Table for two?" A waiter had asked.

"Yes" August repiled.

I can smell all the different types of food. Crab. Beef. Different salads.

The waiter walked us to our table. I sat down.

"What do you want?" August asked. Standing up.

"Roast beef, mashed potatoes and um corn bread"

"Mkay. I'll be back" he kissed my forehead.

He kisses my head so much. It's very soothing.

I glanced to August. He was waiting in line, letting the elderly go before him.

He's so sweet.

"Hey" someone broke me out of my thoughts. I stared at them. I couldn't see anything.

I looked down. Ah. It's a kid.

"Hi" I repiled.

"Why is your belly so big?" He asked. A girl was standing besides him.

"Ryan. Let's go" she tugged at him.

"It's okay. I'm carrying a baby" I said leaning down a bit. I smiled.

Their faces look so excited.

"Wowww" the girl said.

"Where are your parents?" I asked.

"Went to the bathroom" the boy repiled.

Parents went to the bathroom at the same time?

I could feel the baby faintly kicking.

"He's kicking. Do you want to feel?" I asked them.

They nodded their heads. Placing their hand on my belly.

"Woah" they sounded.

"Luka?"

"Oh, August"

The kids shrieked in fear a bit. August gave them an oddly menacing look. He placed our food on the table.

"Who are they?"

"Kids that got interested in the baby" I chuckled.

"Is he kicking?"

I nodded. He ran over to me.

"Excuse me" He said to the kids. They moved to the side.

He sat down next to me. Holding his hand against my belly.

"Gahhhh" He exclaimed. He looks so happy.

"You guys should go back to your parents now" I said.

"Buh bye" the boy said. The girl stayed silent.

"Goodbye" I repiled.

August is in his own universe. Feeling the slight kicks.

Eventually he stop kicking. And sat at his seat.

"This is delicious" I gobbled down the food.

He smiled, "I'm glad"

August took me to a flower park. Well, I think.

Tulips. Roses. Lillys. Many more I can't recall the names of.

There is a stream of water running throughout the field. A bridge going over the water.

It's so beauitful.

We walked around a bit.

This must be an active spot for couples. People are kissing, holding hands and sharing food.

"It's seems to be a bit popular" August remarked.

"Yeah" I laughed.

One whiff and you could smell the different fragrances of flowers.

"It smells so good~" I said.

"It does" August sniffed.

We walked to a beautiful big tree.

I looked to August. He wasn't by my side anymore.

"August-" I turned around.

He was kneeling down. With a box containing ring in his hand.

Is he proposing?

"I know we haven't been dating that long but will you marry me?"

I could hear gasps. People were staring at us.

I'm in shock.

"Yes!" I said. He looked up. Smiling at me. My eyes are starting to water.

He held my hand. He's shaking. He placed the ring on my finger.

He leaned in for a kiss.

People were clapping for us. Then it faded.

"August!" I hugged him. He hugged me back.

"Luka"

It's like all my dreams came true.
