He knew that Andy was the one for him and he tried to deny it, thinking it's only the idea of a family but he couldn't do it anymore, and he can't keep doing it to Julie because she deserves better. He needs to end things with Julie, as soon as possible. Fighting the argue to go to Andy's room and just falling asleep holding her he lied down and closed his eyes, slowly drifting off to a deep sleep.

The next morning went like every routine morning in the house, Andy and Robert drinking coffee while Maddie's eating her breakfast. Getting ready to go and then one of them taking the girl to school while the other is going earlier to work.

Today was Andy's turn to drop Maddie off at school "mommy why are you smiling like that?" Maddie saw her mother in a great mood all morning and while Andy was usually a happy person she wasn't often like this.

"Because...." Andy started "I have the most perfect daughter who I love so so much and a great job that I love and great friends that are always there for me." She smiled looking at her beautiful little girl through the car mirror.

"That's weird"

"Why is it weird?" Andy questioned

"Because you always have the same job, and the same friends like aunty maya and you always have me. But you don't always smile like that" the four year old explained.

"You're so smart! And you're also right, but sometimes I just forget I have all of the great things and take it for granted when I shouldn't. So when I remember how lucky I am it makes me cry vey happy" she parked the car and looked back to see Maddie.

"Oh... than I'm happy today too! Because I have the best mommy and daddy in the world" she smiled from ear to ear proudly.

"Oh baby, that is so great! Now c'mon let's get you out of the car"

Robert was in his office working on some reports when he heard the from door of the station open. Looking up he saw Andy entering the firehouse. She looked into his office and caught his gaze. She kept walking her way but not before flashing a soft smile at him.

30 minutes later Robert went out of his office to call the team for line up "19! Line up in the burn" he yelled and in less than two minutes the entire A shift was standing in a line.

After doing his daily uniform inspection he gave his speech "so first I wanna congratulate you all for being the station with the best response time in the whole city!" Travis was the one to start clapping but soon enough all of the joined and cheered.

"Second, chief Ripley is gonna come and congratulate you himself later today so I want the station so clean you could eat from the floors" he looked at them, once again catching Andy's eyes but this time it was just a second before he turned away "dismissed!"

Walking back to his office Robert thought about everything that had happened since he came back to Seattle. suddenly he is a father, and he is about to be with this gorgeous woman that he care so much about. But first he has to end things with Julie.

He stepped in his office, wrapped up in his mind. But a throat being cleared had pulled him back to reality. "Julie? What are you doing here?" The confusion obvious in his voice.

"You haven't talked to me since the meeting with Maddie yesterday. I was worried..." she stood up and tried to brush a kiss on his lips, only to me stopped by him turning his head away.

"What's going on?" She took a step back, realizing something wasn't right. He leaned on his back, trying to sort the mess in his head. He can't make her wait any longer he has to do it now.
