Callie knew it wasn't to be that good of a Christmas.

How could it be?

She just broke with Penny a week ago.

Sofia wasn't here.

And she had no friends.

She scoffed.

"You suck, Calliope Iphigenia Torres."

There she in an empty dinning table with no plans whatsoever.

Good thing she was leaving this damned city. Concrete jungle where dreams are made of my ass. She thought.

The only thing she loved about New York was Sofia... and the café.

And it rung inside Callie's head.

"What if I go to the café?"

The next thing she knew, she was standing outside the glass doors with an extra thick scarf over her.

What am doing.

She walked up to the employee and she was graced with a smile.

"Hiya, anything you want for Christmas? My treat."

"I'm going back to Seattle." Callie said. And a few seconds of silence later, she realized.

I SAID THAT.

The dark-haired employee chuckled, covering her mouth with a fist. Callie watched her puzzled and quite flustered.

"I- I- um. Sorry. Ugh-"

"So you were from Seattle, huh?" the employee reached for a post-it and a pen from her apron.

Callie furrowed her brows once the other woman was writing.

"So here, my number. I would like to keep in touch."

"I..."

The employee put back her post-its and pen and looked up, "What's the problem? Are you not single?"

Callie blinked twice.

"I am."

"Good." the employee smirked.

Callie didn't budge so the employee reached for a red velvet cake and handed it to Callie.

"Here, my treat remember? Now go home and think about it. Merry Christmas."
