Newt x reader - Loves Touch

The Walk

I've done work experience, and I've become a track hoe (farmer) like Newt.

Digging at the dirt many thoughts come to me, like: It's great Newt and me have such a good time together, all the time. Although our friendship is getting stronger, so is the crush I have on Newt and well... he still hasn't admitted he likes me or not. Thinking about this always gets so confusing! Ahhh. Newt suddenly interrupts my thoughts "you wanna go for a walk?"

"Sure, but I hate to say it, where are we even gonna walk to. I know every place in the glade nothing is new or inspiring anymore."

"I know a place and I bet you ain't ever bloody been there before."

"Okay, Newt, Where?"

"You'll see." He grabs my hand and we sneak off. Leaving all our track hoe work behind us.
Unfortunately Newts covered my eyes, with a blind fold and I have no idea where I'm going. All I know is I'm in the forest and I keep tripping on tree roots and stumps. Walking with him he holds my hand. It's Nice to have him there as my company. It's calming and wonderful.

Going through the forest is so peaceful, you can hear the beautiful birds and smell the pine-needles. It's so great.

I've been walking blindfolded for around 30minuets when Newt gets me to the place he wants to go. My feet feel broken and bruised, and I hope that this better be good. He takes the blindfold off and let's go of my hand (Author: awwwww nooooo!) I look at what's in front of me. A beautiful, glistering lake. It has butterflies and flowers all around it. I catch my breath and say to Newt, "it's the most beautiful thing I've seen since I came to the glade"

He looked me right in the eyes and said "to me nothin' is more beautiful than you." I smiled at him. So brightly. He smiled back and leaned in towards me. I felt shock as he hugged me. But even more when he pushed me into the lake. it was actually nice and warm and I swam towards the bank. Newt was laughing his head off. To his surprise I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the water. "Now we'll see who's laughing!" I said to him, happy with my efforts, laughing my head off. He just smiled and started splashing me with water. We swam, splashed and had the best time ever. I was so happy.

It was getting dark so I decided to get out of the lake. When I did Newt noticed and asked me, "why are you getting out?"

"I'm freezing and it's getting dark so we should head back."

"Alright good thinkin'" Newt got out and saw me shivering. He walked over to his white jumper and put it onto me. It was nice and dry, since he took it off before I pulled him into the lake. I gave him a shy smile and said "thanks"

"No worries, I don't get that cold."

"it was really sweet of you. But..."

"What?"

"I'm still pretty cold" He smiled and walked up to me,

"Maybe this will warm your heart..." He leaned in and kissed me. I felt the most rush of happiness and warmth go through me. I kissed him back. We broke the kiss and I said to him resting my fore head on his, "you always warm me up, and I love every second you do so."
