The morning light poured into Karl's room through his half open blinds. He knew if he stayed still for a few more minutes he could return to sleep. He wanted to go back to the dream he just had. Like most nights, Karl dreamt of Sapnap. Most times the dreams weren't even romantic, just him and Sapnap hanging out and enjoying each other's presence. This night was a romantic dream though. This dream was the shower fantasy. Even awake, Karl could still feel Sapnap's lips lingering on the back of his neck.

Karl's desperate attempt to fall back asleep was interrupted by, something? A noise he didn't recognize. Annoyed and realizing he could no longer return to his dream, Karl huffed and rolled over to his phone. He looked down to see that his call with Sapnap was still running, 7hr38min. The noise returned and Karl realized it was the sound of his best friend snoring on the other end.

A quick smile formed as Karl took a screenshot of their call logs. As preemptive payback for all the things Sapnap was going to do with the photo of him in his t-shirt, Karl decided to tweet it to the fans.

"Someone's a lil needy" Karl attached the image to his tweet and sent it off, knowing the fans would go crazy over the ounce of 'Karlnap' content they were being given.

Karl knew he should hang up, he knew it was wrong to lay and listen to the rhythmic pattern of his best friend snoring. He just couldn't force himself to end the call. He, too, felt comforted just knowing Sapnap was on the other end of the line, even if he was sleeping.

Karl figured he could get away with staying on just a bit longer if he was quiet. He quickly connected his airpods to his phone to minimize the background noise that would potentially wake his best friend. Karl rose from his bed, ready to start his day. He brushed his teeth, washed his face, put on fresh sweatpants but kept Sapnap's shirt on, and headed down to make breakfast. All while listening to the soundtrack of Sapnap's snoring.

One bowl of cereal and a monster later, Karl found himself needing to start on his work. He sat down at his PC, loading his editing software up so he could get ahead on work before his trip. What he really needed to do was start a stream but that would surely wake Sapnap. Karl wondered how long he was up, had he just fallen asleep, did he also edit while listening to Karl's snoring?

These thoughts stayed at the front of Karl's mind as he mindlessly edited his video for the next couple hours.

Karl felt his phone vibrating like crazy and looked down expecting another call to be coming in but was met with his lock screen covered in twitter notifications.

"Who's the needy one now?" He was tagged in a tweet of Sapnap's, with an image attached showing their phone log now reading 10hr9min

"You're awake?!" Karl chirped, now feeling embarrassed for not hanging up sooner.

"Mmm.. Barely.. But definitely awake enough to see your slander on Twitter." Sapnap responded with a chuckle through his raspy morning voice. This combination was enough to make Karl melt. Desperate to hear more, Karl quickly responded.

"What time did you finish your video? You must've been up really late." Karl said in a much softer tone, doing his best to not startle Sapnap further into consciousness.

Sapnap let out a muffled groan and another raspy chuckle. Karl let his head roll back and began rubbing the back of his neck where his long hairs were tickling it. He couldn't help the smile forming and blood rushing to his cheeks as he replayed the laugh in his head over and over.

"Not as late as I expected. I fell asleep to your snoring around 5am or something?" Sapnap responded, sounding a little distracted. Karl figured he was catching up on all his missed notifications and didn't mind. All he took away from that sentence was that Sapnap felt as comforted by Karl's soft snores and he did Sapnap's.

"Okay, stinky. You should get up and get ready. I'm going to stream soon and after our tweets I'm sure the fans are going to want to hear our banter." Karl said with a giggle in his voice. He didn't want to hang up but he knew that he would talk with Sapnap again soon.

Sapnap let out a light laugh at the stinky comment and agreed to stream with Karl soon.

"I'll be quick in the shower, just wait on the line for me, okay?" Sapnap said, finally regaining his normal speaking voice.

"Aww, but I wanted to hear your shower singing!" Karl laughed, connecting this conversation to the one from the previous night. He fully expected his best friend to hang up on him for making such a comment.

"Fine, but you asked for it." Sapnap also laughed back. Karl could hear the rustling of Sapnap getting off his desk chair and the sound of his door opening.

A burning blush spread across Karl's cheeks. How was Sapnap so okay with all this? They'd been friends for years at this point, but was staying on the phone through showers really something friends did? Was this all just a gag to tweet about later? Karl's thoughts were interrupted by Sapnap's voice, muffled by the sound of his running shower. He was singing 505 by Arctic Monkeys.

"I'm going back to 505, if it's a seven hour flight or a forty-five minute drive. In my imagination you're waitin' lyin' on your side, with your hands between your thighs."

Karl enjoyed his private concert, completely unable to do anything but listen to every word Sapnap sang. He was supposed to be setting up his stream so it would all be ready once Sapnap was out, but he couldn't move a muscle. His hands were frozen, one tangled in his unbrushed hair and the other tightly pressed between his thighs, just like in the song.
