Mr Okafor and his soon to be son inlaw got hitched up in heavy traffic as light showers started pouring on their way home. Traffic for them wasn't something new or strange as it's normal within Lagos state where they all reside and run their daily activities in life, wether business and others.

"I just pray this light showers won't fall more than this otherwise the hold up might be more than usual" says Echeta hopeful.
"Did you know the raining season is my best season of the year" asked Okafor ignoring Cheta's prayer.
"Yes sir my wife said so i just pray it holds on for now least it escalates the hold up..." replies Cheta still insistently hopeful
"Did you say your wife?" Cuts in Okafor chuckling
"In a hurry are we?" He added tilting his head left towards Echeta with his eyes searching his son inlaw for an answer
"I speak by faith sir" says Cheta chuckling
"More like by force you mean?" Okafor quickly tackles
They both shared a laughter loudly and Ezeabata Okafor continues

"Not to worry she is yours to have and to hold. I believe she made a good choice too." He sighs
"I believe we both did sir" Cheta affirms
"Many people wish they can take back the hands of time to make a right choice in choosing a life partner, i am happy for you and my daughter. May you both be truly happy in Jesus name! " Exclaims Okafor
"Amen and amen" echoed Cheta
"She is my close confidant and the house will not feel the same for me without her but i trust God to help me get use to it." He says tearing up a bit.
"Trust me when i say i understand sir but from a brighter side you are also gaining a son and we all live here so we are not just a phone call away but we both will be there physically anytime you need us." Echeta consoles him.
"Thanks Echeta, that will do son you have spoken well" he says.

They continued in the traffic which was gradually moving but still very slow as someone informs them that a truck has fallen on their side of the road which is why the traffic is thick. By now Okafor decides that he will be giving Heaven a call soon for them to know they are just fine.

"Mummy sister asked you a question and we have been waiting to hear what happened" Obianauju asks Nkechi while she still had her eyes on Heaven with this irritation.
Heaven loves her mother dearly but you see Nkechi even when sincere could be wrong but most times would want her children and husband to align with her concerning almost every decisions she makes. For this reason she sees her husband and Heaven differently from other members of her family who hardly find themselves in logger heads not because they have nothing to say but some rather remain in her good book while others for some benefits chooses to ignore or overlook. Heaven always wishes that her mother will understand that she and her father doesn't love her any less but they prefer to understand that we all are humans and none is perfect than the other but God that showeth mercy. After all Jesus didn't die for one, selected few or certain people but for all as the only way to God the Father.

Nkechi stands motioning her hands in the air she says
"After we welcomed ogo m(inlaw in igbo) we came upstairs. Daddy said he is coming let him check some bills in his home office by the living room upstairs. I went into the bathroom to ease myself but before doing so i was with your brother Ezenwa(a king child or special child among siblings) on phone chatting and he was bitterly complaining of how 'nna unu'( you're father in igbo) insists on he Ezenwa finding a job in the US while studying as a way of supporting himself the way other students do and not waiting on him everytime to send him money for every littlest needs and wants. He asked that i should put in a word or two for him concerning that. I then told him it might not be a good idea since the last time i tried doing that it resulted into a big fight one that led to you're dad hitting me on the face something he hasn't done for a while since he started working on his anger issues. Ezenwa now replied by writing that he will enter the plane to Nigeria when next you're father hits me to give him a nasty knock on his head and board a flight back to the US. So i sent an emoji of laughter and said thanks for looking out for me and went to the bathroom and a message tone came in on my phone at same time you're dad returned from his home office into my room. I heard when the door to the private corridor his room and mine shared opened, he went  into his room but i didn't hear when the intermidiary slide door joining our rooms together opened and coming in he said

"Dear you have a message, are you chatting with some one?" He asked
"Yes i am chatting with Eze(abbreviated from Ezenwa) i said
"Let me say hello to my son it's been a while" he says
Before i could run out from the bathroom to look for a way to stop him It was late and then 'Gbasbos'(trouble or fight in pidgin language)
The three were quiet for a bit, Nkechi sits on her bed pulls a pillow towards her back and reclined on it with her elbow. Heaven and Obianauju now sitting, each next to her left and right. Adaeze(i.e Heaven's native name) starts a conversation looking at Uju her sister.

"What's your take Uju?" She says Nkechi turns to her left looking at Obianauju where she was sitted by her side.
"Hmm nothing" she says rolling her eyes in a mischievous manner looking away she murmured something like "leave me alone abeg"(please in pidgin)
"Stop muttering and clearly say something if you have anything to say Uju" Ada(abbreviated from Adaeze) says with a feeling of irritation
"...She said she has nothing to say abi?(not so? in pidgin) let her be biko!" (Please in igbo language) Nkechi cuts in.
"Neither do i have anything to say" Adaeze says standing up as she heads to the door, shaking her head.
"That already says alot you know?" Says their mum. "You can say you're mind to free yourself because i know you won't be happy not saying what is in there, after all i birthed you, yes am your mum and i know you too well" she adds.
Ada stops at the door resting her forehead on it for a while, she closes her eyes and like muttered a word of prayer
"Patience Lord i pray" she says as she took a deep breath and exhaled in exhaustion

"Putting me in a spot are we?" She says to them turning from the door to face them with her eyes shifting from mum to Uju and from Uju back to her mum.
"Heaven knows that every time i say something about any situation between my parents i mean well." She added with the expression of concern and sincerity from the heart.
"Eh i hear" says Nkechi with this disgusting look of doubt, she says to uju but for Adaeze to hear
"Perhaps that is why we named you Heaven!"
Obianauju chuckles in this way that got on Heaven's nerves
"Uju thanks for laughing to the joke i guess you're a one man audience just remember to pay mum since the joke is so hilarious 'inugo'(do you hear in igbo)
"While you're at it remember am still older than you and i saw the world before you did" says Ada
"Meaning what nah"(stylish way of saying 'now' in pidgin with mischief)
"Meaning am not your mate respect the age difference period!" Ada insists
"Please don't pass the anger of the matter at hand on me. Do i look like mr Okafor or mrs Okafor to you wetin sef!"(what's your problem in pidgin)
Heaven ignores her sister's ranting, she is use to it, which is why in their house they call Obianauju  'ojionukam'(one who is quarrelsome or troublesome) Heaven  goes to sit by her mother's side and at that time a call came into her phone from her dad, he narrates their ordeal with traffic to her. She told her father that they should stay safe and keep them informed. Thank goodness the call couldn't have come in at a better time than now she thought as it helped to cool the tension that was rising in the room. Also it cut short Uju's ranting. She told them what her father had said and thier conversation went on
