CHAPTER 16

They all write for a while, writing every detail they notice in the children as some of them were playing, jumping, dancing and eating.

"Did the two of you observe that little girl over there?" Inquires pastor Chiebido. He points towards the girl's direction gazing at Cheta and Heaven in shock of what he saw

"Yes pastor i did. Though she amuses me doing what she did, i wonder why" observes Heaven

"What did she do?" Asks Echeta suprise to have missed whatever it is, his wife and pastor were trying to point out. He then turns to Heaven wanting to get the details he says

"What did i miss my dear?"

"The little girl was eating her food and seem to be satisfied. Another girl by her side who i guess must be her friend from the way they were relating, that is from the time i started observing them, asked if she could have her food since she was still hungry and her friend obviously didn't want the food anymore. She ignores her but when the latter persisted, she took the food and poured it out on the ground and now pointed towards the ground like rolling her eyes and saying, eat it off the ground!" Narrates Heaven

"Seriously! At that age? That is wrong!" Screams Echeta

"I am astonished myself!" Exclaims pastor

"How old is that girl? Looking at her perhaps 7 or 8 years of age and her heart is that mean! Wow! As in wasn't she taught that to waste is bad and more so taught to share! Wahala dey for okirika oh" (a statement that insinuates 'fire on the mountain' in pidgin language) concludes Echeta

"I feel you dear" supports Heaven

"We will discuss that in due time" smiles pastor Chiebido. He continues

"Can you both point out from your observations, the kids that their character display got your attention the most and why" adds pastor Chiebido
"Echeta you go first" says pastor

Meanwhile mrs Egwuatu sends snacks, food and drinks to them. So they began to eat as they discuss.

"I observed that little girl over there" says Cheta pointing in the direction of another girl as pastor and Heaven looks towards the direction he points they saw the girl whose age could be between 10-11 years of age, he continues

"I really wonder what she is thinking about. Looking at everything and everyone, yet staring at nothing, she looks lost. I hope she is okay. The thing is she is too young to be lost in thoughts. I have been looking to see if her dad, mum or guardian is here with her but may be she came alone  because i haven't noticed anyone around her" Worries Cheta.

"Hmmmm. What about you Heaven?"
Asks pastor

"The boy over there" points Heaven. Pastor and Cheta looks also in the direction she points. He's been stucked to the mother's side not wanting to leave her side. He is so clingy, like he can't trust anyone else except his mum. It reminds me of how mothers can be a great influence on their children because they spend the most time with them growing up. He caught my attention because every kid i see here seems to be doing the fun things or stupid things that kids their ages do except for few we have noticed doing otherwise. Why is he not interested in leaving the mother's side to go experience the fun others are having. Then over there at the play ground. (pastor and Cheta looks there too) I can't stand that guy's confidence. He looks 10-12 years of age but for some reasons he is so comfortable like it's his father's house. He's almost every where playing busy and like seeking attention. He feels important and i even saw him pushing some kids around, i wouldn't really call it bullying but it's going to get to that if not controlled. I really believe he must be from a rich household, am guessing from his designer's wear but his character traits displays that of a spoilt brat." Detests Heaven looking a bit pieced
