Chapter 40

Zajei's POV

"I'm on my way. I'll drop your breakfast at your office." I parked my car properly before getting a paper bag and my bag.

[Okay, take care.]

I hang up the call right after she said that she's on her way too to her office. Dapat talaga sabay kaming papasok pero hindi natuloy dahil nagkaroon s'ya ng early meeting with the Dean.

Kaya ngayon, I just bought some breakfast to my favorite restaurant para sabay nalang kaming kumain. Hindi rin kasi ako kumain bago umalis sa condo dahil walang kasabay si Ma'am if ever.

It's been two and a half weeks since we became official pero hindi pa rin kami out sa public. Because aside from the fact that we should be careful to our relationship, we both don't want to expose it on the public.

We prefer a private and lowkey relationship. But I posted some of her pictures on my Instagram feed and story kapag magkasama kami pero hindi ko ipinapakita yung mukha n'ya. Tanging kamay lang or kapag nakakatulog s'ya sa leeg ko due to her paperworks.

Hindi talaga ako active sa mga social media dahil mas marami akong oras sa online games pero simula nang maging kami ay nagagamit ko na 'yon. Dati mga once a year lang ako magpost pero ngayon ay s'ya na at si Shan ang laman ng mga stories ko.

Minsan kasi ay lagi akong nasa bahay n'ya pero hindi na ako natutulog do'n. The last time I slept there is when we were with Shan. Hindi na nasundan yung make love namin kasi parehas kaming tambak ng paperworks.

This week will be the finals kaya ang dami lalong gagawin. Buti nalang natapos ko na ang mga requirements ko kaya matutulungan ko na si Ma'am sakan'ya.

Ilang gabi na kayang puyat 'yon. Malapit na raw kasi yung due ng major project n'ya kaya kailangan nang ipa-finalize yung design n'ya kay Uncle. Idagdag pa na nagc-compute na rin s'ya ng mga grades.

Kawawa naman yung misis ko.

"Good morning." I greeted with a wide smile on my lips the moment I saw her in her couch, crossing her arms.

She lifted her head up to see me.

"Good morning." Naks! Level up na si Ma'am. Dati talaga morning lang yung mga balik n'ya pero ngayon may good na.

Good influence talaga ako.

Ngiting-ngiti na inilapag ko yung paper bag sa lamesang katapat n'ya bago ko s'ya dinamba ng yakap. We ended up in the couch na nakahiga s'ya habang nakapatong ako at nakayakap.

I miss cuddling with her.

Although lagi naman akong andito sa office n'ya pero hindi ko talaga s'ya ginugulo ng sobra. Dzuh! Ang hirap kaya ng mga ginagawa n'ya kaya ayaw ko ng dumagdag pa sa stress n'ya.

Ang matured ko na. Pwede na akong mag-asawa.

"Jei." I hummed while brushing the tip of my nose to her neck. "Did you change your perfume?"

Iniangat ko ang ulo ko at marahang dinampian ng halik ang pisnge n'ya.

"Not really. Ito yung perfume ko before I met you but it goes out of stock kaya bumili nalang ako ng iba. Kahapon lang idinating yung order ko kaya ginamit ko na." She nodded as she remove some strand of my hair. "Don't you like it?"

"It's not like that. Hindi lang ako sanay but it smells so good." She move her hands up to my back and hug me more.

"What do you prefer, then?"

"You and will always be you."

I bit my lower lip to prevent the smile that is trying to escape on my lips but I eventually gave in and let it out.
