Broken Rules (Ultra Magnus X Optimus Prime)

==Chapter 30==

He first walked to Ultra Magnus's house. On his journey, a lot of kids looked at him in shock. Some said "Look, mom! It's Optimus Prime!" Their carrier naturally said to them "Let's not bother him, he seems busy." Some cheered and waved but he never waved back. Once he got to the door, he hovered a fist above the dark grey metal. He was nervous.... What if they weren't alive? What if Magnus's parents weren't brought back.... Half of the population that was killed off was brought back and only 1 out of 10 bots had their war memories, so he heard on a radio. Wheeljack and Bulkhead were giving the report.

He goes to knock but the door opens. Sentinel Prime stood there "Optimus, what a surprise." Optimus drops his arm and goes to talk but the opposing prime responds "Yes, I know.... I'm upset too.... You should see his mother." On cue, he heard a wail of agony from Magnus' carrier. Optimus winces at the sound and then states "Not taking it well.... Believe me, Sentinel, neither am I..... he was my commander..... and one of my best friends." Sentinel nods and says "Come on in, I'll grab you something." He turns on his heel and the semi walks in "I don't drink." The prime responds "Understood. I don't either..." he grabs 2 glasses of energon and gives one to Prime.

They talk for a bit. Sentinel learned about the whole war thing. He was one that didn't get his memories back. Optimus goes on about Magnus about how he joined the wreckers. Sentinel replies "I remember him talking about wanting to join. He was on point in his studies." Prime goes to say another word before a knock is heard. The mom opens the door and greats the mech "Oh... h-hello.... May I help you, officer?" The mech outside replies "I take it that you're Ms.... Ultra?" The femme nods "Yes sir." The officer sighs "You may want to sit down." The female walks over to the table with the 2 primes and the officer joins them.

"I'm afraid Ultra Magnus didn't survive. The doctors tried everything they could do, he's just not coming to his senses again." Upon the police bot's words, a thick servo is slammed on the table "No." the earth modded Prime declares "No, I refuse to let him go. There has to be some way!" The officer thought it over "There is a spark replacement option but I don't think you'd be ready to deal with him after that...." Optimus cocks a ridge "What are you implying?" "If Magnus were to go into a spark replacement, he wouldn't come out as himself." The 3 others leaned forward a bit, listening to every word. "He wouldn't remember anything. The only thing he might remember is his childhood but it would stop once he became a commander, or maybe he won't remember becoming a commander...." Optimus covers his face and closes his optics. "I'd do anything to have him back..." Ms. Ultra sets a small hand on his shoulder "We would too."
