Chapter 3

Arizona's POV

It was now finally Saturday and we had the day off. Even though we have the day off our 2 year old likes to get up at the crack of Dawn.

When she first wakes up she will just play with the few things in her crib until she gets bored

"Mommy"

"Mommy"

"Momma"

"Momma"

"Mommy!" Paisley starts and we hear her through the monitor

"What time is it?" I ask Callie without turning over

"Just before 7"  she says and I sigh

"Momma! Get me!" Paisley starts to yell and I chuckle

"She is bossy" I say and Callie smiles

"Just like her momma" Callie says and I shake my head

"Go get your daughter" I say and lay back down against the pillow

"Uh uh, she said momma get her" Callie says and I roll over and glare at her

"Momma now! Big trouble" she says and we laugh this time

"Sounds like you're in trouble" Callie says and I roll my eyes and get out of bed and walk down the hall to paisleys room

"Momma!" She shrieks and smiles, holding onto the bar of the crib and starts jumping

"Good morning bug" I smile and pick her up out of her crib and lay her down on the changing table

"Potty" she says and reaches for me

"You got to potty?" I ask and she nods and I took her to the bathroom which was connecting to her room

"Let's go get mommy" I say after she was done and she smiles and nods

She ran down the hall to our room and pushed the door open

"Mommy" she says walking into the room

"Mommy up" she says to Callie and raises her arms

Callie bends down and picked her up laying her in bed with her

"Not bed time" she says seriously and Callie laughs

"Mommy is tired" she says and Paisley looks back at me and brings a finger to lips

"Shh" she says and I chuckle

"You hungry?" I ask her and she nods and slides off the bed and comes with me

"Nini?" She ask, it's what she has called her pacifier ever since she could talk. She used to not need or want it as much until Callie stopped breast feeding and she likes to have it. Hard to break that habit

"Where is it?" I ask and she shrugs

"You don't need nini right now" I tell her and she frowns and I pick her up and take her downstairs before she started a tantrum

"Want to watch cartoons?" I ask and she nods

"Get nini?" She ask and I sigh

"Paisley you don't need nini" I say and she frowns

"Momma" she starts whining and I cut the television on so it would distract her and I walked to the kitchen to get her a cup with apple juice and I took it back to her.

"Thank you" she attempts to say and I smile and kiss the top of her head

"You're welcome bug" I say and walk back to the kitchen

It's funny how toddlers can forget about things so easily

I decided on making eggs for breakfast and some type of breakfast meat.

She will only eat scrambled eggs so that's what I made her while callie and I would eat sunny side up.

Callie came downstairs not too long after I started the eggs and walked behind me and kissed the bottom of my neck

"Good morning baby" she says and I turns around to face her

"Kiss" I say and she smiles and gives me one

"That. Right there is where she gets it from" Callie jokes and I just turn around to make sure my eggs wouldn't burn

Once I finished breakfast Callie got Paisley up in her high chair and I gave her, her food and Callie and I got ours and set at the table next to her

After breakfast Callie washed the dishes and I took Paisley upstairs to get her a day outfit on, we were meeting my mom later on at the park and would have a picnic lunch

When we got to Paisleys room I put her down and she ran to the toys while I got out an outfit

It was pretty nice out, hotter than what I like

I got Paisley a yellow off the shoulder dress with white polka dots and a pair of underwear while we were home

By time I turned around she had pulled all of her toys out from the toy box

"Paisley" I sigh and she looks back at me

"Let's put the toys back" I say and go to help her

The both of us got the toys picked up and I took her back to the changing table to get new clothes on

I pulled the dress over her head after throwing her pajamas in the hampers

"Remember you need to tell mommy or I if you have to potty because you are just in undies" I tell her and she nods

"Okay!" She says and I chuckle and lift her off putting her back on the ground and she walks over to her crib

"Momma nini!" She exclaims ask tries reaching through

I walked over to her and lifted her up settling her on my hip

"We don't need nini," I say and she starts kicking her legs trying to get down and I just carry her downstairs.

"Paisley enough, let's go draw mommy a pretty picture" I say and she stops kicking and just lays her head on my shoulder

In the living room she sat at her small table with crayons and coloring books while Callie and I sat on the couch with coffee watching her color

"What time are we meeting your mom?" Callie ask me

"I told her 11" I say and she nods, we try to keep a schedule with Paisley, we like to have lunch around 12 and she goes down for a nap between 12:30 and 1.

Usually during the week Callie and I have to be at work at 8 meaning we get up around 6. We won't  wake paisley up until 6:45 to get her ready and leave the house by 7:30

We eat dinner between 5:30 and 6 then start our bedtime routine at 7 and she is in bed and asleep before 7:45

Now that's on a normal day. Sometimes she decides she is not sleeping at nap time and we'll go to bed early or so many other factors that can affect this schedule

My mom knows it which is why we are meeting her at 11 so we can go out, eat lunch and still get back here in time for Paisleys nap time

"See Grammy?" Paisley asked

"Yea bug, we'll see Grammy later" I tell her and she claps her hands

"Go now" she says and gets up from her table

"No not yet, in a little" I say and she frowns

"Mommy and you color?" She ask and I smile at Callie

"Yea bug we'll color with you"
