And Still I Rise

"Well well well isn't this cozy"

It was a pettite slender woman, with long dark hair and very complementing pale skin.

Aro growled and he stood up, i can tell he knew the woman by the way he tried to shield me from her sight.

"Sulpicia"

He growled.

It was really easy for him to cover me up since he was 5"10 and i was 5'2. However the woman tried her best to get a glimpse of me, as soon as he said the name "Sulpicia" i panicked and freaked out internally.

"This is what you prefer to see in your arms Aro? I'd like to meet the girl who is the talk of the castle."

She directed rather a fake sweet statement towards me that it even made me cringe.

"Sulpicia, you are not allowed in the castle. It seems you have a great tendency to disobey me often."

Aro growled and hissed as he took an intimidating step towards her.

"I just wanted to meet your new prized position."

Aro then took a slight step aside for her to meet me. As soon as Aro took a step aside i was able to take a great look at her, she was really pretty. She was much more taller than me.

"Well aren't you a cutie."

Again ... She did not mean anything she said.

"I've heard your name is Michelle correct?"

I nodded.

"I must admit aro, she does not look like your type. Not to mention that she looks awfully younger than you. Tell me, how old are you?" 

"19."

She then bursted out lauging, Aro then blocked me from her view once again.

"She's an awfully young one isn't she? A 40 year old man and a 19 year old human. How disturbing wouldn't you say so?"

"Leave us"

Aro growled while looking towards Sulpicia, i then moved towards the door to leave putting my small warm hand on the door handle until i felt a cold hand grip my opposite arm.

"I did not mean you Michelle."

His eyes were full of adoration and tenderness towards me. I then heard Sulpicia scoff.

"You see my dear, when Aro turned me he had hopef id posses a strong useful power, however when the time came and he realized i had no special ability he was very much disappointed. Your beauty is not enough for him, he desires power, if i were you i wouldn't get to comftrable of his admiration towards you, after time he will start to fade from you and even replace you. He did it before with his Sister."

Those words that left her mouth broke me ... She might be saying the truth. However what did she mean by ... His sister?

"Remember my words sweet Michelle."

And with that she disappered and it made me think ... Did i really made the mistake for falling for the king of hell? I then looked to my side and i saw Aro ... His eyes were dark and his hands were clentched in anger. His eyes possesed lots of anger and resentment towards Sulpicia even i knew to back away from him.

"My darling, do not retreat from me. Sulpicia is just bitter sweet."

I did not dare to meet his gaze .... I was sure if i met his gaze i would've bursted into tear ... I was already insecure as it was now Sulpucia's words where the cherry on top of the ice cream sunday.

"Renata."

He gently called out for renata and within seconds Renata was inside the room.

"Yes master?"

"I want you to bring me my latters from my desk along with some book's, ill stay here in Michelle's room guarding her tonight. I also want you to tell caius to have two guards keeping an eye on Sulpicia."

"Yes master."

Wait ... HE WAS GONNA SPEND THE NIGHT HERE!?

"I-Its not necessary ... Seriously."

I tried to convince him with no luck as he raised an eyebrow at me.

"I thought we agreed for you not to discourage me when im trying to protect you Mrs swan."

I simply looked down to the floor in shame. Renata returned and she sat everything down on a desk i had in my room near the window.

"Thank you allot child, you may now return to your Routine."

He smiled at Renata and laid a soft chaste kiss on her forehead.

After she was gone Aro sat down and started working as if nothing and i simply curled up in my bed with my sheets covering me and tried to go to sleep. No matter how hard i tried i couldn't sleep ... Not because of fear but because i just couldn't bring myself to reality that he was willing to watch over me. From time to time i could feel his gaze burning at my back however it was confirmed when he spoke.

"Having trouble sleeping Mrs Swan?"

"Y-yeah.."

He then let out a heavy sigh as he laid down next to me and spooned me .... My back touching his chest and his hands roaming gently trough my hair.

"Try to sleep cara, you've had a rough day. Tomorrow will be a new day."

And with that he pressed his icy cold lips on my right cheek and with that i fell asleep.

Strange really ...

Being locked between his arms gave me butterflies in my stomch.

I have one question roaming through my head ...

What did Aro do to his sister?
