Part 2 request from cristianjosuechele

Makucha waited outside of his den worried and nervous with Kion. Nirmala and Makini were inside his den, checking on Chuluun to figure out what steps to take to help her heal.

The leopard was clenching the snow beneath him with his paws in worry. He turned his head to the den, thinking of his mate. He let out a deep sigh, oblivious to Kion staring at him with worry.

"Makucha" the lion said his name and the leopard turned to him. He knew that neither he or Kion were on good terms with eachother in the past. But since he was the king of a group of animals with amazing healers, he was the only one he can think of to come to help.

Kion smiled at him reassuringly. "It will be fine. Chuluun is strong. She'll endure" he assured him. The leopard scoffed at him, turning his face away. "Easy for you to say. You're not the one responsible for your mate being like this" he told him firmly. Makucha couldn't find ease in the situation, knowing it was his fault his mate was in this problem.

His response didn't affect Kion though. He had known too well what its like to feel that you made a mistake that hurt someone. "Thing is Makucha that I know too well that feeling. When you think it's your fault someone got hurt because of you" he calmly explained to him as the thought saddened the leopard and made him feel guilt.

"So the best way that we can fix our mistake is try and offer our help to them" he advised him and Makucha surprisingly found his advice comforting and reassuring. It even gave him some hope that he might help Chuluun recover.

He turned his face back to the lion, letting a small smile show. "Looks like being king has made you wiser Kion" he told him teasingly but also the same time as a compliment. Kion chuckled at him. Looks like being in the mountains with Chuluun has changed him for the better.

"Excuse me" Makini's voice came up as she came out of the den with Nirmala. Makucha and Kion looked at her, the leopard looking at the two healers.

"There is a chance for Chuluun to be healed" Makini told them confident and positive. Makucha smiled, sighing in relief to hear there was a chance to save his beloved snowy huntress.

"Nirmala told me that there's a special healing ritual that Queen Janna once did for this type of injury" Makini explained to them. "And it turns out that most of the ingredients are found right here in the mountains where you live" Makini informed them excited.

"However, Chuluun will need to be taken to the Tree of Life in order for the healing to work" Nirmala told them. Half of the ingredients were at the Tree of Life. The problem was that those ingredients wouldn't survive in the cold climate of the snowy mountains. It would be better to bring Chuluun and the rest of the ingredients to the Tree of Life.

"You guys take Chuluun to the Tree of Life with Nirmala and Makini. I'll go get the ingredients" Makucha told them as everyone stared at him.

"I've been around the mountains long enough to know my way around it. Just tell me what ingredients I have to gather and I'll meet you at the Tree" he explained to them. Thankfully, the snow leopard had shown Makucha around her home and the prey and plant life that live in it so that was a good thing.

"You sure about this Makucha?" Nirmala asked him concerned and serious. Some ingredients are easy to get. Others could be challenging. "Yes" Makucha said determine. He was willing to do anything for Chuluun. And make sure she gets back to walking again by his side.

Kion quietly chuckled at him. He was still persistent as always. "Then I'll carry Chuluun back to the Tree. I'll make sure she gets there safe and sound" Kion told the leopard, assuring him.

Makucha smiled at him. Inside, he was grateful for the lion's help. Everyone agreed that Makini would go with Makucha to help identify the ingredients. Kion had enter the den and with Nirmala's help, he got Chuluun on his back.

The lion came out of the den with the snow leopard on his back. Chuluun spotted her mate standing there with worry. She smirked at him "Stop worrying. You're gonna make your fur gray and then you'll look more like a snow leopard" she teased him and he chuckled, smiling at humor of hers.

He walked up to her and nuzzled her face "I'll see you at the Tree Chuluun. Try not to cause trouble while I'm gone" he told her jokingly and she rolled her eyes at him. But she did appreciate he was doing all of this for her.

Kion and Nirmala took Chuluun to the Tree of Life whole Makini and Makucha went in search of the ingredients. With Makini's knowledge on plant life and medince combined with Makucha's knowledge and way around the mountains, they were able to find the ingredients: An aconitum ferox to relieve body pain and rhus semialata for its effectiveness.

The leopard and mandrill headed back to the Tree of Life where Kion was waiting for them. "We got the rest of the ingredients Kion! Makucha did a good job getting them" she informed him and Kion smiled relieved.

"Nice job Makini. Nirmala already has the other ingredients prepared. She's waiting for you" he told her and she hurried inside to help with the healing. Kion looked at the leopard who lied down, a bit tired.

"You alright?" He asked him, worried, scanning the leopard. Getting the ingredients in a cold climate and traveling to the Tree of Life was exhausting. "Yeah. Just tired. How's Chuluun?" The leopard asked tiredly, looking at the lion.

"She's doing fine. Now that you and Makini brought the last of the ingredients, we can heal her" he explained to him. Makucha smiled at the news.

Seeing how exhausted he was, Kion left him and came back with a bowl of water. Makucha gladly took it, lapping the water, enjoying the coolness on his tongue as he waited patiently for his mate.

His eyes caught a yellow glow from inside the tree and he looked at it as it dimmed down. The leopard stood up and slowly walked towards the entrance, a bit worried with thoughts racing. Had something happen? Was that the healing? Is Chuluun alright.

Once he got inside the tree, his eyes widen at what he saw. Chuluun was back up on her feet, standing tall, nodding to Nirmala and Makini for their help.

She spotted him with his shocked face and she smirked at him. The look on his face was priceless to her. She walked up to him and blowed on his face, making him blink his eyes.

"Your face is too priceless right now Makucha" she teased him but she got surprised when he nuzzled her. He had this big smile full of joy and relief to see his mate standing and walking again. "I'm just glad to see you up again" he told her relieved and she rolled her eyes at him but she did smile and returned the nuzzle back to him.

Just to be clear, the plant names I mention are actual medical plants from the Himalayas that I looked up for this moment.
