"Cubs! Cubs! Calm down, please!" Nirmala pleaded as two of her cubs excitedly bounced on a branch that could snap at any moment. "Please get down from there!" She told them urgently, getting up on the tree to bring one cub down with her paw.

"Children! Listen to your mother!"

Surak told then firmly as his son pulled onto his mane hard. One of the cubs on the tree took notice of their father and jumped onto his head, making him fall down to his feet.

"No my pyaar! Show some respect to your father!" Nirmala scolded her cubs, grabbing the one that jumped on Surak's head as her mate huffed exhausted. They both knew having cubs would be hard but they didn't think their cubs would be so full of energy. "I love our cubs but they are so much right now! We need a break" Nirmala said tiredly with her ears drooping.

"We're missing one"

Surak noted, scanning around for their youngest cub. Nirmala took notice and glanced up for a moment only to have her head shoot back up with alarm.

"Surak! Catch her!"

His ears perked up at his mate's alarmed voice, noticing her worried look and he turned to her direction, only to have the same reaction. The last cub they were looking for was on a thin branch with lilies on it. Due to her weight, it was dropping down. "Jump, pyaar!" Surak shouted out and his daughter obeyed the command, jumping down. He caught his cub by his paw with the branch falling down next to them and a heap of lilies fell on Surak that it brought him down.

"Surak?" Nirmala called out to her mate as she and her two cubs stared at where they were. The youngest cub walked over to her father, pawing at the lilies to find him. She found a brown nose and hugged it and she found herself off the ground. Surak huffed, forcing the flowers off his face. His eyes glanced down at his cub  as he smiled exhuasted, setting her down. She may be much but he loved her nevertheless. "She's a handful for certain. But she's alright" he said, glancing at his worried mate only to find her staring at him with a wide eye look.

"What? What is it?" He asked her, wondering what was with that expression on her face. She suddenly bit her lip to hide something as she tried to resist a smile. But Nirmala couldn't hold it and started laughing with her cubs. Surak stared at his mate, bewildered by her reaction. What was so funny about their cub nearly falling off a tree and then him rolling down a hill into some lilies?

He suddenly felt something tugging his mane, and he glanced down to find his daughter pulling out a flower from his mane to play with it. Her siblings followed her lead and pulled out more flowers from his mane, which surprised him while his mate kept on laughing. Seeing how no one was gonna answer him, Surak walked over to a nearby waterhole, and what he saw in the reflection of the water made him feel a lot of things. Surprise and embarrassment.

His large brown mane was covered in orange lilies everywhere. Actually, it looked less brown and more like he had a bright orange mane. Surak's eyes widen before letting out an annoyed and tired groan. He glanced back to his mate who was starting to calm down. But she resumed her laughing when she the look on his face.

Surak glared as he shook his mane to rid it from all the lilies. Well not all of it. Some of it still stuck to his mane but not as much to make him look like an orange mane lion. Seeing how some were still stuck on him made him groan more so he jumped into the water, hoping to wash it off. Surak had left a pile of flowers, which his cubs took notice of and jumped into it to play.

Once the lioness calmed down, she made her way over to her mate who was busy with removing the remaining flowers out of his mane. Surak took notice of her and glared at her. Nirmala just stared at him, relaxed with a smile.

"Not funny"

She chuckled at him, finding his reaction priceless. Fortunately, she knew he could never stay mad at her. But just incase, she gave him a playful lick on his nose. It caught him off guard and his glare fell, blushing. "I'm sorry. But you looked so funny with those flowers in your mane. It looked like your mane was orange instead" she commented playfully, helping him to take off the last remaining lilies on his soaking wet mane.

Surak sighed tiredly, glad to have only Nirmala and their rambunctious balls of energy to witness this embarrassing moment. However, he caught sight of his nephew and niece walking by. He glanced at his mate with a thought and he smirked misheviously. "Children!" He called out to them, catching their attention. "You see your cousins over there? Go over and play with them" he instructed them and they eagerly ran to Baliyo and Rani.

Nirmala glanced at the cubs running off and sighed in relief of her mate's quick thinking. "Finally, some peace and quiet" she muttered, turning her face back to her mate. He wore a misheviously smirk that made her blush at how attractive he looked along with the droplets of water on his mane and fur. "Yes. Finally, some time alone together" he told her playfully as he moved closer to her.

"Surak. No! Don't you dare!" She told him smiling, but Surak had already wrapped his paws around her and... SPLASH!
