"So what's this all about Kion?" Beshte asked him curiously. "Yeah. You've been usually quiet" Ono commented as their leader hasn't spoken. "Come on. There's something important we have to talk about" he told them all as his friends exchanged confused looks. Kion had something important to tell his friends as they all went under a large tree in the nighttime.

"So you gonna tell us?" Fuli asked him, everyone sitting down as Kion stood in front of them, taking a deep breath. He had so many thoughts in his head. Like how would they react to his decision? His choice? What that mean for them and their friendship in the future? Whatever the reaction, he couldn't keep it from them for long. It was agonizing.

"I have been thinking....about leaving the Pridelands and staying in the Tree of Life"

Once the words left his mouth, it felt much more silent than before. Everyone looked at him shocked. Unsure what to say or how to respond. "Before we left the tree, I started to have feelings for Rani after she became the new queen. We had gotten close to eachother. She even offered me go stay and become the new king. I have been thinking about her proposal. Since there is a new guard here in the Pridelands, we all have a chance to start a new. A new life. And I feel my place is with the Night Pride. I thought about it and decided I want to stay at the Tree of Life" he explained to them, watching their faces for their reactions.

They were all silent, progressing this. It made him anxious, and a bit scared. However, there was the sound of the grass rustling as someone stood up. He glanced up and saw Fuli had stood up. She walked uo to him as the everyone watched.

The cheetah made steady eye contact with her former leader as he stared at her worried. Her serious look softened into a warm smile and she nuzzled his face. It shocked Kion and everyone else to see this warm side of hers. "Where ever you go, I go with you. We are one always" she told him and her words brought relief and comfort to him as he nuzzled her back. The rest of his friends gathered around and hugged their friend, piping uo and agreeing to come along as well. Kion let out a content sigh, glad to have such supportive friends, there for him always...next one was his parents.

After the he and his friends parted ways, Kion made his way back to Pride Rock, his home. He was now going to talk to his parents about his decision. His sister Kiara was already aware of his feelings for Rani and his decision to stay wight the Night Pride and she supported it. But will his parents will?

He glanced up and saw his dad on the rock who stared down at him. Taking a deep breath, Kion made his way to his father. His dad noticed he seemed nervous and approached him. "Kion? Are you all alright?" He asked him as he nuzzled him to ease him from anything. Kion returned the nuzzle growling affectionately. "Yeah dad. Can you get mom? There's something I need to talk to you both" he told his dad serious which made Simba frowned but he obeyed nevertheless.

Once both his parents came, all three went on a walk together as Kion told them his decision and his feelings for Rani. It once again brought silence and it surprised his parents. "So you want to stay in the Tree of Life a d marry their queen?" Nala asked her son, progressing this. "Yes. I'm no longer leader of the guard and I feel that my place is with the Night Pride. Don't get me wrong, my place is also here in the Pridelands" he told them as his dad walked ahead in front him, and stopped walking.

"And this Rani? You want her to be your mate?" He asked his son. "Yes. I know you both haven't met her yet. But she is really nice. Brave, and noble and wise for her age. You wousl love her for sure. I know it. And I will be sure to visit you both" he told them, knowing it's hard for both of them. Especially his father. It wasn't easy for him to let go of his cubs.

Simba took a deep breath as he turned around to look at his son. He walked over to him and nuzzled his face. "We will support you always my son" he told him, making eye contact and smiling at him as Kion smiled back. His mother also smiled warmly as his parents nuzzled him lovingly as Kion nuzzled them back. It touched his heart deeply that his loved ones would always be there to support him in anything.
