Request from KionloveRani.

"Come on Kion! What's the matter? Is the king of the Tree of Life slow?" Fuli taunted her friend. The cheetah and lion were racing against eachother as usual. "In your dreams Fuli!" Kion called out to her confident, trying to catch up to her.

Meanwhile, Rani was sun napping on a rock, beneath the large tree. "Hmm?" Her ears twitched at some laughter and her eyes open. The queen scanned around until she spotted Kion and Fuli running with the cheetah taking the lead. "I'm not going down yet Fuli!" Kion called out stubborny, despite the fact he was losing to one of the fastest animals.

Rani chuckled at him, finding it amusing how her husband, a full grown lion, acted like a young cub. She stood up, stretching her body, and jumped off the rock to greet the two cats.

Fuli had beaten Kion and halted to a stop, panting. She looked behind her to see the lion far behind her and she smirked. "Ha! I win once again Kion!" She said proudly.

"Fuli watch out! I'm coming in hot!" Kion called out alarmed as the cheetah turned her whole body around to look. Kion was coming in so fast that it was hard to stop. He tried to halt to stop with his paws but he was this close to hitting her.

The cheetah's eyes widen alarmed as he bumped into her. But not just that. He had bumped into her face and the two kissed by accident. "Mmph!" Fuli said surprised.

Kion quickly backed away, both cats blushing and their eyes bulging at what just happen. "Fuli I am so sorry!" Kion told her guilty.

"K-Kion?"

Kion and Fuli turned their heads to another voice and much to Kion's concern, Rani was standing there. Her eyes were wide in shock and hurt. She had seen the accidental kiss but assumed it was intentional.

"How...how could you?" She asked him, struggling to keep her voice from breaking at the feeling of betrayal from her mate.

Kion stared at her wide eye. "Rani. Listen" he told her, trying to explain. But when he approached her, her expression changed into enraged and she snarled at him, her ears flat.

The lion paused, staring at his mate shocked and hurt. The lioness turned around, leaving. Although he couldn't see her eyes watering, he knew she was hurting. The lion sighed heavily, looking down.

Fuli stared at him with her ears low, feeling bad. "I'm sorry Kion. I should've moved out of the way" she told him regrettably, walking to his side.

"No. I should've had more control in my speed" he told her, wondering how he was going to fix things with Rani. "Come on. We need to explain to her" Fuli insited to him and he nodded in agreement. The two cats went to go find the queen.

Inside the tree, Rani was quietly crying, burying her face in her paws. She felt hurt that Kion would do such a thing. "Why would he do this to me? I never thought of him to do such a thing" she whispered to herself, her voice breaking.

"Rani?" Her ears twitched at hearing her mate's voice. She didn't turn her head to look at him, still angry at him for going so low.

Kion sighed, knowing his mate had greatly misunderstood the whoe thing. "Rani please listen to me" he begged her, catiously taking a step to her but also keeping distance incase she decided to pounce on him.

"Hear him out Rani please" Fuli urged her. "Kion and I were racing and he was running so fast that he bumped into me and kissed me by accident" Fuli explained it to Rani.

The queen did turn her head to look at them both. Kion's heart fell at seeing Rani's cheeks stained with tears. He quickly walked over to her, staring at her face with worry and guilt.

She stared at him, still unsure. She believed Fuli. But she wondered if she could believe. Kion lifted his paw and wiped away the tear stains off her cheeks.

"Rani. I would never betray you like that. Fuli is like a sister to me. But I love you. And it hurts me to see you this upset. Especially at me" he explained to her calmly, staring into her beautiful brown eyes.

She stayed quiet at first as Kion waited for her response, hoping she would forgive him. Rani stood up and nuzzled his face. She gave a sweet lick on his forehead.

"Oh Kion. Forgive me for how I acted earlier. It's just what I saw really hurted me" she explained to him regrettably. "But I should've known better. That you would never do something like to me" she told him.

Kion smiled at her gently and he licked her cheek. "It's fine. All is forgiven and forgotten Rani" he assured her warmly and she smiled at him as the nuzzled again lovingly. Fuli smiled at the two, glad to see they had worked out the misunderstanding.
