"Ow! Easy easy!" Baliyo complained as his little cousin tugged on his ear hard. Rani chuckled at her brother's situation as her two other cousins were with her. Their uncle Surak and aunt Nirmala were worn out from raising their cubs so Rani and Baliyo offered to watch the little ones while the two lions took a moment with eachother. That may not have been the best idea.

"Ow ow ow! Rani some help please!" He asked his sister desperately as he shook his head to free his sore ear. "No way. I'm already dealing with two cousins. I don't need to deal with three in total" she said to him and to prove her point, one of the cubs climbed on her head, playfully swatting her nose. The other cub went around to grab her face.

"Hey stop that!" She said, standing up to shake one cub off while the other that was on her head was now riding on her back. The other one, the girl, went to pounce on Rani's hind legs, gently nawing it. The young queen shook her leg to get her little cousin off. The cub on her back noticed Baliyo who was having his mane tugged by his cousin.

The cub jumped off her back and she charged straight to her cousin and pounced on him excited. She pounced hard too so it hurted Baliyo a bit as he grunted in discomfort. The other cub with Rani took noticed and copied his sister, pouncing on the prince, earning another grunt, more painful than the last pounce.

Rani sighed heavily and exhausted as Baliyo groaned in pain. This was more exhausting than they thought. How did their uncle and aunt deal with this?

Speaking of those two, Surak and Nirmala were on their way back to their niece and nephew. The couple took a nice long walk together and hung out at the waterhole in peace quiet. They needed the alone time with eachother. They loved their cubs but they were more handful than Rani and Baliyo were at their age.

The two heard Baliyo groaning in pain and got a look at what happened. The cubs were playing rough with him, tugging on his tail, ears and mane as Rani tried to get them off but they were stubborn.

"Oh dear. Looks like Baliyo and Rani ran are having difficult with our cubs" Nirmala commented with a small smile as Surak chuckled amusingly. "I warned them that raising our cubs would be a handful" he told her, seeing that his niece and nephew's situation had proven him right.

"Oh Surak have some sympathy for them" Nirmala gently scolded him ad they got closer. Baliyo was the first one to spot them and he sat up straight real quick, making the cubs slide off him and giggle.

"Surak! Nirmala! You're both back! How was your time together?" He asked his uncle and aunt, smiling nervously as Rani also smiled nervously. "Great. Thank you Baliyo" Nirmala told him gratefully. Truth it, she missed being with her mate alone.

"I see you two have been exhausted by our cubs" Surak commented amused as the cubs once again tugged onto their older cousin roughly to which Surak did not approve. "Children please. Show respect to your cousins" he told them calmly but firmly and the cubs obeyed, moving to their father and mother. Baliyo sighed relief to no longer be a toy anymore.

"Thank you uncle" he told him gratefully as Surak nodded to him. "We will take it from here. Why don't you two get some much needed rest? You look like you need it" Nirmala told them, nuzzling one of her cubs. "That would be great Nirmala. Thank you. We'll see you later" Rani told her gratefully and it made her aunt chuckle before she and Surak walked away with their cubs following them. Once they were far away, Rani and Baliyo plopped down, groaning in exhaustion. Now they know how their uncle and aunt felt both with them when they were cubs and their cousins.
