Selene's POV

The gang and I were chasing after a leftover Outcast ship from Alvin's little treat. We saw it for a while, then it vanished. "Oh!!" I screamed out and we all landed on a sea stack. "It was heading this way. It must've outrun us." Astrid told us. "How does an Outcast ship outrun our dragons?" Hiccup asked us as Fishlegs and Meatlug came in and landed between Barf and Hookfang. "Sorry we're late." Meatlug apologized. "That's how." Snotlout spoke with irritation in his voice. "Whoo! We were really moving, girl. What'd we miss?" Fishlegs asked us. "It's not what you missed. It's what we all missed." Snotlout scolded the boy. "Snotlout." I was going to lecture the boy, but he spoke first. "I'm just saying if we didn't have slow and really slow, then maybe we could do what we actually need to do!" Snotlout yelled. "Snotlout, that's not helping." Hiccup told him. "Nag, that's a bit harsh." Astrid backed Hiccup up. "Guys, he does have a point." Fishlegs replied with sorrow. "But, Fishlegs." I tried to tell the boy. "No, it's ok Selene. You guys keep looking. Meatlug and I will circle back and patrol the cliffs. Shore up the rear." Fishlegs laughed sadly at the end. "Ok, use your dragon call in case you spot something." I told the boy.

"You know I will." He told me. The others flew off, but I stayed behind to tell Fishlegs something. "Fishlegs, you know you can ignore Snotlout. He doesn't know what he says half the time. Everyone contributes something to the group. You're part of the brain trio with Hiccup and myself. Don't forget that." I told him and went to catch up with the others. "I hope he's gonna be ok." Crystal told me. "Me as well. If only Fishlegs would stand up for himself." I told my sister. We caught up with the others, but we still couldn't find the ship. We landed in the plaza and Fishlegs came running over to us. "Did you-- did you find your Outcast ship?" He asked us, Snotlout was going to speak, but Crystal covered his mouth with her tail. "No sadly. Anything happen with you?" I asked him, then Gobber came running over with a. happy look on his face. He had a really pretty sword. "Fishlegs, do you know what this is?" Gobber asked the boy. The twins then thought it was a game and started to beat each other up. I looked at the sword and pulled out mine to compare the metal. "Gobber, let me see the sword." I told the blacksmith. "Knock yourself out, lass." He told me. I compared the metal and they were the same! "Gobber, where did you find the material to make this sword?" I asked him.

"Earlier, Meatlug and Fishlegs came into the shop and had upset tummies. So I tickled Meatlug, and she spewed out this lave. I got tired of waiting for it to cool, so I did some work and voíla! I call it Gronckle Iron." Gobber told me. This was too much information for me to take in, I started to back up, then ran out of the plaza. Hiccup was calling out to me, but I kept running and running. I eventually made it to the cove and I just sat on a rack near the pond. "You ok? You took off pretty fast back there." I knew that voice, I turned my head a bit and there was Crystal. "I don't know honestly. I don't know anything about my past. Who I am, where I came from, who my parents are. And seeing that my sword and the sword Gobber made are the same metal material, it is making me question myself even more." I spewed my thoughts out to Crystal, she just nuzzled up into me. "I know, it's hard. We'll find out where you came from some day, I promise." Crystal told me, I smiled and hugged her head the best I could. "Thanks." I told her. We spent the next few hours just relaxing in the cove, when a familiar black figure flew over us. "There they are, bud." It was Hiccup and Toothless. They flew down into the cove and landed next to us. "I was wondering where you went." Hiccup told me as he sat next to me.

"Oh, I wanted to show you something." Hiccup then pulled out his new and improved shield. "Nice. I see you finished it up with some Gronckle Iron." I told him as I inspected the shield. "Yeah, but Fishlegs wouldn't tell me what rocks he gave Meatlug. Think he's hiding something?" He asked me. "Maybe. But let him enjoy the glory. Not everyday your dragon can spew a new material. And what did you really need me for, I know it wasn't just to show me your shield." I saw Hiccup's face heat up a bit. He just sighed knowing I caught him. "I just wanted to see if you were ok. I mean, the look on your face, I-it was filled with fear and confusion." It was my turn to sigh, I knew I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face with this boy. "I just want to know about my family. My blood family, I need to know if they made this sword. Think about it Hiccup, they could have secrets to the dragons that no one knows. I just wish I knew where to start." I told him as I stared up at the sky. I felt a hand on my arm and saw that Hiccup put his hand there. "I know the feeling. I never knew my mom either. But I want you to know, I'll help you find your parents. I promise." Hiccup told me as he placed a hand on my cheek. I leaned into it and lunged forward and tackled him in a hug.

"Thank you so much, Hiccup." I told the boy and he just hugged me back. "Let's go find the others and figure out what to do about the Outcast ship." Hiccup told me as he pulled away from the hug. We got on our dragons and flew to the academy where the others were. "Good you found Selene. We doubled back around the same area five times." Astrid told us, so I knew she and the others, minus Fishlegs, went back to find the Outcast ship. "Really? That was the same place? It looked os different." Tuff told us. "That's because you were flying upside-down, you mutton head!" Snotlout told the boy. "Ok, easy guys. We need to calm down so we can focus on our next move." I told them.  "You know, we needed somebody to keep track of our positioning." Astrid was right. "No kidding." Crystal muttered. "Some low speed hovering could've helped over that sea stack." Hiccup told us and I knew he was referring to Fishlegs, but Snotlout started complaining. "Everyone has an important role, Snotlout. Even you, despite the fact you like to slack off." I told the boy and he went to speak but Crystal knocked him over with her tail.

"Thanks sis. Anyway Snotlout. You made Fishlegs feel bad. Remember, I can always put Changewing acid in your pants." I warned the boy and I saw some color drain from his face. Astrid walked over to me and we fist-bumped. "Let's go get Fishlegs." Hiccup told us and we all flew to the blacksmith to see multiple angry vikings. We saw Fishlegs and he seemed pretty stressed. "There he is. What are we gonna do?" Astrid asked us. "I could pound on him until he agrees to come back." Snotlout said while punching his hands together. "Or we could just ask him nicely. Violence isn't always to answer." I told the boy and Hiccup walked forward a bit trying to get Fishleg's attention. "What's wrong with the pounding? I like pounding. I like pound cake. I like measuring my weight in pounds." Tuff continued to list the things that deals with pounds. "Fishlegs!" Hiccup called to the boy, but Fishlegs didn't hear him. Hiccup started to jump up and down shouting Fishleg's name, but then the vikings started to chant his name and that made the boy more stressed. Hiccup backed up towards me and he gave me a concerned look.

Gobber told Fishlegs something, then the boy turned back to the crowd. "Hold onto your tunics, Folks. You want the Gronckle Iron? You got the Gronckle Iron." Fishlegs told the crowd then went back into the shop. "This isn't gonna end well, is it?" I asked Astrid and she shook her head no. Crystal grabbed me with her claws and flew into the air a bit so I could see better. "Thanks. Now, I can see what is going on." I thanked the Light Fury. "I hope nothing happens." Crystal told me. We saw Gobber and Fishlegs put a lot of different rocks in Meatlug's mouth. She ate them happily, but then a strange sound was ringing through the air and it was coming from Meatlug. "This isn't good." Crystal and I muttered in unison. We then saw metallic objects start to move. "Oh, no. Meatlug has become a living magnetic thing!" Crystal told me and dropped me in front of the crowd. "If you value your metallic objects, get out of here!" I yelled to them and a helmet went flying by me and stuck to Meatlug! "Get these away from me!" Meatlug yelled and she ran out of the shop. Now some weapons were after her. Crystal picked me up and flung me onto her saddle and we started to blast the weapons away.

"Selene, what's going on!?" Hiccup called out to me as he and Toothless flew next to us. "Meatlug is starting to attract metal!" I told him and Toothless flew on ahead. Hiccup then told Snotlout that we needed to herd her away from town and let's say it didn't go well. Fishlegs told Meatlug to sit, and Hookfang sat instead. Snotlout ended up landing near some sacks with food and he nearly crushed a Terrible Terror and the dragon wasn't happy. Crystal landed at the edge of the village. "Should we go after them?" She asked me. "No. More people and dragons would scare Meatlug even more. We'll wait for them to come back." I told her. We decided to help the villagers put some of the metal that didn't hit Meatlug back where it belongs. It was sunset by the time Hiccup and Fishlegs came back. Toothless landed in front of us with Hiccup still on his saddle. "I don't want that to happen again." Toothless told us. "What happened?" Crystal asked him. "Hiccup's foot got stuck to Meatlug, so Fishlegs had to ride me to save them. We also dealt with the Outcast boat." Toothless told us. I laughed and glanced at Hiccup.

"Sounds like you guys had quite the adventure." I told him and he just chuckled sheepishly. "Yeah, but we're back to being a team. Like it's supposed to be." He told me and I just nodded my head in agreement. Not a bad day.
