Chapter 17-Frozen

3RD POV

It was winter time in Berk, but it was more wild. Everyone was hiding inside their homes trying to keep warm. Some Terrible Terrors were cuddled above the academy sign trying to keep warm, when a whistle echoed through the area. The three Terrors looked over at one of the cage doors and saw Selene gesturing for them to come inside and warm up. The terrors quickly flew in the cuddled up against the girl. "Thank you so much! It's freezing out there." Selene just nodded her head and brought the Terror's over to Crystal so she could warm them up. "Continue, Hiccup." Selene told her crush. Yeah, it's official. The Dragon Princess has fallen for the Dragon Rider. "Anyways, as you can see by the chart," Hiccup gestured to the chart that had a drawing of a Night Fury. "Proper wing control can be achieved by..." But the boy didn't get to finish due to Hookfang spitting a fire ball at the chart. Hiccup grunts then turns and asks who fired the fireball. "Who do you think?" Hookfang asked as he not-so-discretely blew smoke from his mouth as Snotlout whistled. "Why are you looking at me?" He asked the boy. "I know this is hard guys, but can we try to focus on the lesson?" Selene asked her friends as she stretched. "We've been stuck inside for weeks because of this crazy weather. We're all starting to go a little nuts." Astrid told her human best friend as she sharpened her axe. Her point was proven as Fishlegs talked to one of Meatlug's back claws. "Get back here!" Selene turned and saw Barf and Belch chasing their tails. The twins were just laughing at the poor Zippleback. "Barf and Belch just discovered they have tails!" Tuffnut laughed at her dragon and crossed her arms. "And it looks like they really hate it." Selene just face-palmed at her antics and walked over to Hiccup with Crystal behind her. "The Terrors ok?" The girl asked her sister and the Light Fury nodded . "Yeah, I remember how I felt when I found out I had a tail." Tuffnut then started running in a circle chasing his so called 'tail'. Ruffnut then walked over to Hiccup and Selene to whisper to them, "I may have told him he was a tail." Then walked back over to her twin as Hiccup and Selene sigh. Then the doors opened to reveal Stoick with a frozen beard. "Odis's ghost it's cold out there! My beard is frozen solid." The chief told the teens. "What brings you to the academy, Stoick?" Selene asked Stoick. "Trader Johann hasn't gotten into the port yet. If he's stuck out in this weather, he won't survive." Stoick told Selene and Hiccup.(Wish they left him to freeze). "Oh we could go find him! You know Toothless and Crystal can find Johann in the dark thanks to their echolocation abilities. They're perfect for the job." Selene lit up at the thought of getting out of this mad house, and Hiccup thought the same. Stoick however, wasn't fond of the idea of letting his son and his future daughter-in-law out in the cold. "I don't know." But the teens weren't gonna let it end there. "Please, Stoick, if you care about the sanity they we still have left, then you will let us leave this madhouse." Selene told her chief as they saw the other teens and their dragons being morons.

Stoick just sighed and turned back to the teens before leaving. "Make sure you close the door on you way out, and bolt the door, please." Selene and Hiccup high-fives each other as Toothless and Crystal wagged their tails with joy. Soon, the two furies were flying through the sky over the ocean looking for Johann. It was freezing out, but Selene brought some water gear to keep herself, Hiccup and the dragons warm. "It's getting dark, guys. Do your thing." Selene told the dragons and they let out a roar. The teens looked down and saw part of the ocean had frozen and turned into an ice bridge. "I've never seen anything like this. Have you?" Selene asked Hiccup and he just shook his head. "I've never seen the ocean frozen like this either. It's no wonder Johann can't get to the port. No one can though this." Hiccup told the girl as they continued flying. "Something's coming." Crystal growled and Selene looked down to see a fog of some sort. "What was that?" Toothless asked. "No clue, but I'm glad we're up here and it's down there." Selene spoke. Toothless released another roar of sonar and found something. "I think Johann is that way." Toothless told the girl. "Nice job, Toothless. He says Johann may be that way." Selene translated for Hiccup as they flew toward the direction Toothless gave. The four continued flying into the night still searching for Johann. "I'm glad you brought all this gear, Selene. Otherwise, we'd be frozen." Hiccup thanked the girl as he tighten the scarf around Toothless. "Me too. It's beyond freezing out here." Selene told the boy with a little blush on her cheeks.
