Lolade pursed her lips as she continued writing as Jesse explained to her. She glanced at what she had written as she smacked herself lightly.

"Have you seen your mistake?" Jesse asked as Lolade nodded.

"I wasn't patient enough" she replied as she pursed her lips.

"So you missed two questions" Jesse said as Lolade sighed.

"Yes. I should score around 17 or 18. I don't know how many marks those questions carry" Lolade said as she removed the phone from loud speaker and brought it to her ears.

"What about you? Aren't you done with your tests? Are you very busy?" Lolade asked in a low voice as Jesse sighed softly.

"Do you want me to come and see you?" Jesse asked as Lolade pursed her lips.

"En" she said softly as the call suddenly ended. Lolade stared at her phone with a blank expression.

He hung up.

It was the first time ever that Jesse would hang up the phone first, even when they were done talking. He would always wait for her to hang up not to talk of when she was still talking.

She sighed softly as she held her phone and rubbed her forehead. She couldn't reason why Jesse had ended the call.

She pursed her lips as she dialed his number again but he didn't pick it. Lolade pursed her lips as she tried to blink back the tears welling in her eyes.

Didn't he want her any longer?

"What's wrong with you?" Nifemi suddenly asked as Lolade quickly schooled her face.

"Nothing" Lolade replied as Nifemi frowned.

"I thought we agreed to stop lying to each other" Nifemi said as Lolade chuckled.

"What makes you think I'm lying?" Lolade asked a she stood up from where she had been seating down.

"I need to use the toilet" she added as she walked out of the room while Nifemi watched her walk out of the room.

"Did she have a fight with Jesse?" Nifemi asked as she grabbed her phone from the table.

Lolade sighed as she stared into space. It was already past 8pm in the night. Telling Jesse to come and see her; she must have been crazy. But she hadn't seen him for almost two weeks; although they had a lot of video calls, they failed to satisfy her.

She wanted to see him.

And now...

Her phone buzzed in her pockets
as she quickly grabbed it to see Jesse calking. She pursed her lips nervously as she debated whether to pick the call or not. She didn't even realize she had picked the call and was pressing the phone to her ears.

"I'm at the junction" Jesse's voice drifted into her ears but Lolade found it hard to understand what Jesse had said.

"Huh?" She asked.

"Come on out. I'm at the junction" Jesse replied as Lolade shot up from where she was seating down.

"Lola...." Nifemi didn't get to finish her statement when she saw Lolade running telling her she would be back soon.

"What's with the switch of emotions this night?" Nifemi asked as she rubbed her forehead.

Lolade ran as fast as her legs could carry her, her heart was slamming crazily against her chest but there was only one thing in her mind.

Jesse.

She came to a stop as soon as she reached the junction. And as he had said, there was a boy leaning on a familiar Black Prada at the junction. He seemed to have noticed her the exact moment she saw him. He was clad in a pair of jeans trousers and a huge hoodie. Whether he wore something underneath or not,she had no idea.
