chapter 12

LORENZO'S POV:

I get out of the meeting room and go to my office, I can't believe Emmas 'the shadow' it does kinda make sense and it does help a lot 'the shadow' has a lot of power and loads of spies in Russia.

I get onto my computer and do some digging on the name- "-Darren pierce" someone said interrupting my thoughts I look up to see Ace and Dominic.

"We need to find out who the bastard is," Ace said sitting down  "I know"  I sighed

an hour later

we found out Darren Pierce is a 40-year old who is in the Russian mafia  I already hate the bastard and I haven't even met him.

then suddenly we all heard some noise in the ballroom? so we get up and walk towards it

We see Emma playing the piano... wow... I didn't know she could play, shes amazing at it

she hasn't even noticed me, Ace, and Dominic standing there just watching, isn't my daughter just beautiful It breaks my heart I wasn't there to watch her grow up.

When she first got here she had her walls so far up and don't get me wrong they're still far up but I have noticed they have lowered just a bit.

She is just like my mother Emily, she then stopped playing and turned around

"how long have you both been there?!" She said standing up with wide eyes

"long enough, I didn't know you knew how to play?" I say with a small smile on my face

I don't remember the last time I smiled before Emma came, I haven't seen her smile since she was talking about her mother, Danielle.

"It's nothing. Just forget about it" she says while walking out of the room

I sighed, why can't she just trust me I'm her father. 

we all follow her to the kitchen, and she just sat there on the counter eating ice cream out of the tub with a spoon.

then too little kids came running in "I SMELL ICECREAMMMM" Lucas and Kaylee

"here have the rest of it there is only a bit left" Emma said handing them the tub

"when did we get ice cream?" Ace whispered to me  "we didn't?"  I replied, "Then how did she get it?"    "you do know that Emma has a car..? she might have just got it herself?" Dominic said getting mine and Ace's attention

"Lorenzo we need to talk... alone" Emma came up to us all with no expression on her face

"okay come on let's go to my office?" I say  "no that's boring," she said while walking away for me to follow her

she went outside and I looked behind me to see Ace is confused and so am I

I walk outside and see her in her car "come on up in" she shouts rolling down her windows

"but it's nearly 8 pm?" I say with a serious tone

"oh come on old man just get in for god's sake," she said while reaching over and opening the door for me

"fine," I say given up I get in the car and put on my seat belt

"where are we going?" I ask, a smirk laned on her face "you'll see now won't you?"

we finally stopped after being in the car for 20 minutes
Emma drove to a beautiful beach house, she parked the car in the driveway and we were just sat there not saying a word. 

I finally opened my mouth "why are we here?"

she replied "I have a few questions and this is the beach house I bought when I first got here, I was planning on living here after I gave everyone their letters. but I guess that didn't work out as planned, I thought why not come here so you can explain everything instead of the house"

"oh... what questions?" I ask " you will see when we get inside," she said while opening her car door and getting out

I did the same and followed her, we both made our way inside and went straight forward to where there's a living room and kitchen with two patio doors that lead to the beach

we both sat down on the sofa and she turned to me

"Why did I not grow up with you and the boys..?"  she asked strait up without showing any kind of emotion

"awh so these kinds of questions..." I say lowering my eyebrows a bit.
