"merlin, i don't know why i'm so nervous." daisy muttered to her friend as the two girls stood next to each other, waiting for the ceremony to start.
"it's okay daisy." luna whispered. "today is a big day."
"i just wish dumbledore would finish this speech already so that we could get on with this." amelia laughed to herself as she made eye contact with fred as he made funny gestures as dumbledore's speech dragged on.
"me too." neville added.
"...and now, let me introduce to you the hogwarts class of 1996!" dumbledore finished his speech as the audience stood up to clap for the students.
"merlin, amelia! we did it!" daisy wrapped her arms around her friend. the two hugged as loud cheering filled the great hall.
after seven long years, the pair had finally graduated.
