chapter six;
the steps of becoming an animagus

THE FIVE best friends were in the library reading because they couldn't talk. The had repeated step one of becoming and animagus 3 times, in which caused them to almost give up.

Remus being Remus, kept teasing them about not speaking. No one knows about them transforming into an animagus, or so they thought.

McGonagall knew that they were trying to become an Animagus, and that is why she won't call any of them to answer questions in her class. Even though she knows, she didn't tell anyone and she didn't tell them that she knows.

"You know it's so fun to see you guys studying and not talking" Remus said with a smirk which caused the four of them to glare at him

"Shut up Remmy" Aven wrote on the little whiteboard

Remus chuckled putting his hands up in defense before glancing at Sirius who was practically drooling over Aven. He smirked and wrote something on Sirius' whiteboard.

"You're drooling over Ave" Remus wrote

"No i'm not actually, the reason why i look like i'm drooling is because of this stupid leaf in my mouth" Sirius wrote back

"Sure Siri" Remus wrote and Sirius just gave him the i'm telling the truth look

It was two weeks later, and the others were wondering why the five friends haven't been speaking obviously Remus as the exception.

"Hey guys" Alice smiled sitting next to Lily

They all smiled at Alice presence.

"Okay we have a question" Marlene said looking at the five of them

"Shoot" James wrote

"Why are you guys not speaking?" Dorcas questioned

"Yeah, what makes it weird is that Remus are talking but you four are not" Lily pointed her face showing that she was confused

The four of them looked at eachother trying to think of something, while Aven just huffed and wrote something on the board.

"Remus made a bet to see who's going to be the first person to speak, and obviously the first person to speak are going to lose and none of us are willing to give up even though we all know that i'm going to win" Aven wrote and the boys looked at each other with a confused but amused face

Lucky for them, the girls believed them.

"So why are you not giving up? I thought you can't stand not talking to Lily?" Sofia asked smirking at James

"Are you kidding me? I'm getting the money, even though i still want to talk to Lilypad" James wrote and Lily rolled her eyes

"I honestly don't understand James" Peter wrote and they all nodded while James gave them a death glare well except for Lily obviously

It was now the break for fourth year and they went to Aven's house since none of her family was home. They were at the backyard of her house and they were all about to transform to their animagus form for the first time.

"Amato Animo Animato Animagus" The four of them yelled and Remus watched from the window

They drank the potion and Aven can feel the pain and her heartbeat speeding up.

They slowly transform into their animagus form and Remus stared at them like a proud dad. Peter turned into a rat, James turned into a stag, Sirius turned into a black dog, and lastly Aven turned into a white samoyed dog.

The two dogs jumped up and down barking and Remus came closer to them and he started to pet them. They all transformed back into their human form and James yelled and they all laughed.

"Holy shit that was awesome" Peter yelled and they all laughed at his sudden outburst

"It was amazing Pete" Aven nodded with a huge smile on her face

"WAIT WE SHOULD HAVE A NICKNAME" James shouted

"V, you're good with nicknames" Sirius said looking at Aven

"Just good?" Aven fake gasped and Sirius just glared at her and she laughed while the others just looked at each other with a knowing look

"Alright let's start with you, you are Wormtail" Aven said looking at Peter and he agreed

"You Remmy, are Moony" Aven continued and Remus gave her a thumbs up

"You Jay, are Prongs" Aven said and James bowed down to her and she just pushed him off laughing

"And you Siri, are Padfoot" Aven smiled at Sirius who gave her an impressive look

"Well now you guys pick one for me" Aven told them and the four of them looked at each other

"Star" They all said and Aven was confused but she was impressed

"Good one, but why star?" She asked

"When you were in your animagus form your eyes were yellow" Remus explained

"It was so bright" Peter said emphasizing the word so

"Yeah, it was definitely the brightest pair eyes i have ever seen" James continued

"Okay i know they've already said everything but it was so fucking bright, like it was brighter that the stars" Sirius rambled and she just laughed at him

"Well alright boys how about we call ourselves" Aven said before pausing

"The marauders" She continued and they smiled before they jumped up and down singing
