"no...maybe it's just this weird voodoo telepathy thing."
"or maybe she has photographic memory!"
"i do have photographic memory." nini grinned as she entered the dance studio with her friends, them all groaning
"well see that's not fair!" howie exclaimed
"hey! i cant control it." nini replied, the six of them all making their way to their cubbies to put their bags into
"you know what you can control though," howie said innocently "helping one of your best friends out!"
"i'm not going to give you the answers to the homework howie," nini chuckled, taking her jacket off before putting it on top of her bag and tying her hair up as the boy huffed frustratedly
"you know you're really whiny." gina said with a sigh, removing her shoes
"me?!" the group all nodded as the boy just rolled his eyes "fine then, i'll be warming up on my own today." he mumbled, walking off to leave his friends chuckling at his composure
"hey, so gi, could you spot me today?" nini asked hopefully "i really want to get that last turn right."
"yeah, sure." gina nodded brightly
as the girls went towards the end of the room to warm up, they sat down, holding their legs out before hearing the sound of the double doors open
"and moments of peace and stability on earth has been corrupted." big red said bitterly, him and his friends all watching the trio of teens walk in with their bags
"just ignore him red." seb said comfortingly "he's not worth the time of day."
nini shot a glare towards the french brown-haired boy who had been walking with a blonde girl along with another taller brown-haired boy as she leaned forward to stretch her leg
but she then had to roll her eyes and turn away when she noticed the tall boy look at her with his usual charming, arrogant grin
"you know how we've been watching once upon a time?" gina asked the others, all of them nodding "i'm pretty sure lily has a black heart."
"she also has great hearing porter." the blonde said, folding her arms as she stood before them "so, i heard that."
gina put her thumbs up with a raised eyebrow "i said it out loud didn't i?"
"you know, if you think that you or your little friend are going to get the lead in the showcase this year...you're really terribly going to be disappointed."
nini sighed "we're just here to dance lily. okay? how about we just stay in our own lanes and focus on our own business."
she exchanged a glance with the tall brown-haired boy that stood behind the blonde girl before looking away, seeing lily about to retort but before they knew it, their dance teacher had walked into the room, leaving them all to have to listen and go to the bar for the class to begin.

when class ended, nini was exhausted but satisfied that she finally got her solo perfected for auditions next week. of course that didn't mean she was going to go easy on herself. after all; practice makes perfect. and nini promised herself to be even more so for the auditions
she put on her jacket over her body, taking her water bottle to drink a sip from before putting it in her bag as she swung it over her shoulder
"it's rude to leave without a goodbye."
nini sighed, turning around to see leo leaning against the wall with a smirk on his face and his own bag slung over his shoulder
"i have work." nini said, folding her arms
leo brought his hands to his chest and sighed, putting on a fake hurt expression "you wound me."
the girl shook her head with a laugh managing to escape her before walking towards him and leaned forward, bringing his lips to hers as he wrapped his arms around her waist
nini quickly pulled away though, causing for him to frown
"what's wrong?"
"you really need to try and keep lily and antoine in check." she said
"it's not my fault big red and antoine's break up was horrid."
nini gave him a look and he sighed
"alright, look, i can't necessarily do anything. you know that. otherwise they'd find out about this." he reminded her, gesturing between them.
nini took a deep breath, realizing that he was right...the last thing she needed was a lecture from her friends about being with 'the enemy' and not to mention that they would've been completely confused regarding what had happened all through last year...
"okay...i agree." nini nodded "i'm sorry."
leo shook his head "it's okay. hey, how about i come over tomorrow evening? you have your day off tomorrow right?"
nini nodded with a small smile "i guess so...you could help me study for my biology test."
leo chuckled and shrugged his shoulders, nodding "sure. why not."
she hummed happily as he leaned forward to kiss her before she suddenly pulled away nervously at the sound of something moving near the change rooms
"what now?" leo asked confused
"no one's here right?" she asked, looking around anxiously
"of course not, neens." he assured her
"are you-"
she got cut off by him leaning forward and capturing her lips, causing for her to gasp before kissing him back until she finally pulled away for air
"okay, now i really have to go." she laughed breathlessly "i have work."
leo sighed "alright, fine. i guess i could try and survive without you."
"you're so dramatic." she grinned "i'll see you tomorrow."
leo nodded as he watched his girlfriend rush off towards the exit of the darkened studio, him soon leaving a few minutes after her.
