after arriving home from her job, nini collapsed onto her bed in pure exhaustion. her bag left at the foot of the piece of furniture with her books waiting to be opened for a usual extra hour of revision. but today she'd given in to the fatigue in her body and chose to get changed into her pajamas and watch a movie.
just as she was browsing her netflix to try and find something, she heard a ringtone coming from her phone. she picked it up and pressed her lips flatly against one another in anger when seeing leo's name displayed on the caller id.
shaking her head, nini tossed her phone back onto the bed and continued to search for a movie, letting the phone ring once, twice, three more times. until it soon stopped. then a few pings went through which she could only assume was leo again.
she pushed down her curiosity at what he had to say for himself. what excuse he could've had to leave her without a partner and without warning on the day of an audition for something that could determine their dance careers. it was one of the most important moments of her life and he knew that. but he didn't show.
after a couple minutes of silence, nini sighed in relief - which was quickly cut short when she heard her phone ringtone go off. again. at which point she grabbed the device, barely looking at the screen as she pressed the green button and put it to her ear
