What was he doing by sitting there and unwaveringly looking at her?!

Did he think she was still a gullible young girl that he had so easily deceived in the past life?

Lin Eunwoo's intimate gaze was too conspicuous. It put Ye Ji Eun in an especially uncomfortable position.

Jungkook chuckled. "Mr. Lin, why do you keep looking at Ye Ji Eun?"

Lin Eunwoo's eyes sunk. Since that night when Ye Ji Eun had left him for her younger sister's sake, he had set down his resolve to take Ye Ji Eun away from this vortex. As soon as he entered here, he recognized his girlfriend, who he had been living with day and night.

Lin Eunwoo lowered his eyes. "It's nothing."

Ye Ji Eun slightly smiled and thoughtfully added spare ribs to Jungkook's bowl. "He's not looking at me. He's looking at Lili."

Jungkook looked at her with a brooding gaze. His sharp eyes were like a knife that pierced through her heart as he said in a sharp voice, "He's looking at Lili?"

Ye Ji Eun's hand slightly trembled around the chopsticks she was holding. She had been behaving very cautiously in front of Jeon Jungkook this entire time and didn't dare to overstep even once. However, Jeon Jungkook's attitude towards her remained cold. It could even be said that his attitude towards her was at the level of disgust. As soon as she slightly thought of Jeon Jungkook's sweet as honey gaze towards Ye Ji Eun in her past life, she would immediately feel as if her plans had been thwarted. 

She forced herself to smile. "Lin Eunwoo is Lili's boyfriend."

"What?" Mother Jeon gaze incredulously went back and forth between Lin Eunwoo and Ye Lisa.

Ji Yong also doubtfully looked at her. "What's going on?"

Ye Ji Eun was smiling as she explained, "It's like this. Our parents wouldn't agree to Lili and Lin Eunwoo getting married, so the two of them ran away together. I saw how worried our parents were. Our mom even got sick from worrying too much, so I asked Jungkook to help me find Lili.  Fortunately, Jungkook found her today."

Ye Ji Eun glanced at Ye Lisa. It was obvious that she was warning her to cooperate.

"So it's like that..." Jeon Ji Yong looked at Lin Eunwoo as he continued, "So she's the girlfriend that you spoke of."

Lin Eunwoo's expression was extremely ugly. He knew that Ye Lisa had taken Ye Ji Eun's place in marrying Jeon Jungkook, but he could also easily tell that it was Ye Ji Eun sitting next to Jein Jungkook right now and not Ye Lisa. However, he felt as if he was looking at a stranger when he heard Ye Ji Eun's words. In his memories, Ye Ji Eun was a kind-hearted, magnanimous, and prideful woman. But, the woman before him had changed into someone that was cold-blooded, cautious, and acquiescent.

She was clearly the one that had run away with him, but she had calmly pushed the blame onto Ye Lisa!

Lin Eunwoo tightened his grip on the chopsticks. The veins on the back of his hand were raised up.

Right at the moment when he couldn't bear to keep quiet any longer, someone kicked him below the table.

He instinctively looked at Ye Lisa. Sitting across from him, Ye Lisa had her head lowered, and her face was slightly flushed. She secretly smiled at him and shook her head. He was surprised to see that she was looking at him with a pleading gaze.

The sparkling lights from the chandelier above the dining table were reflected in her eyes. It was as if her eyes contained resplendent stars.

At that very moment, the anger in Lin Eunwoo's suddenly disappeared. The hand that was holding the chopsticks relaxed.

From Lin Eunwoo's point of view, Ye Lisa had been utterly medicorce since childhood, but she had been braver than anyone else at the critical moment. When her older sister had heedlessly run off with him, she had been willing to sacrifice her happiness and future to save her older sister and her family by marrying a comatose person.

Now that the comatose person had woken up, she was willing to step to the side without having gotten any benefit for herself. She was even willing to bear the burden of her older sister's prior actions and damage her own reputation by doing so. In contrast, her older sister was eagerly dumping the consequences of her actions onto her younger sister.
