Ye Lisa got into the car. She was bored stiff as she waited for Jungkook to finish his business.

The temperature inside the car was comfortable, and the blanket was soft and warm. As she gently touched her flat belly, her thoughts wandered. Other than this baby, she couldn't think of any other reason why Jungkook would chase her to the airport.

The opening of the car door interrupted Ye Lisa's train of thought. Jungkook sat down in the back seat next to Ye Lisa and ordered to chauffeur to drive.

The driver raised the privacy screen to separate the front of the car from the back.

After the screen was up, the inside of the car immediately fell to silence.

As the Bentley was smoothly driven forward, the scenery outside the windows quickly retreated. Ye Lisa couldn't figure out what the man sitting next to her was thinking. She quietly coughed to break the awkward silence.

She asked, "Does Old Master know that you came here?"

Today was Jeon Jungkook's wedding. Even if she was only counting the Jeon's extended relatives and business partners, it wouldn't be okay to slight these guests. Shouldn't Old Master Jeon haven't gotten angry and prevented Jungkook from leaving the wedding?

"The Jeon family is under my control right now. Old Master's words aren't as effective anymore. He can't stop me from doing what I want." 

Ye Lisa's heart skipped a beat. Why was the plot going smoother than it had in the novel?

In the novel, after Jeon Ji Yong was put into prison by Jeon Jungkook, it had taken Jungkook half a year to seize full control of the Jeon family. But now, Jeon Ji Yong had only been arrested a few days ago, and the Jeon family had already fallen into Jeon Jungkook's hands.

"So, you shouldn't think about leaving my side. I don't want to have to come to the airport a third time to bring you back." Jungkook had been managing the Jeon family's business for a long time, so he was used to bossing people around and speaking to everyone as if they were his subordinates.

Shortly after saying this, he felt that his tone wasn't right. He glanced at Ye Lisa's expression, cleared his throat, and softly said, "You're pregnant with the Jeon family's child right now, and you're my wife. You've taken care of me for such a long time too. I need to properly pay you back."

"He was the one behind it?" Ye Lisa was truly shocked. "He's your dad... even if he acts poorly usually... He's your dad. How could he..."

In the novel, the real reason why Jungkook had sent Jeon Ji Yong to prison had never been made clear, much less the evidence that Jungkook had used to prove Jeon Ji Yong’s guilt.

"The evidence is conclusive and he admitted his guilt."
