After she had teased and played with the baby for a little bit, Jungkook wouldn't let her continue to hold the baby. He wanted her to lie down and rest.

Resigned, Ye Lisa could only reluctantly hand the baby back to Mother Jeon.

As Jungkook tucked in the corners of the blanket, he answered Ye Lisa's earlier question, "Grandpa watched over the baby for a long time. I finally convinced him to go to take a rest. Don't worry, the old butler is with him."

Old Master Jeon was already at a ripe old age, but he still wouldn't accept it. He had stubbornly insisted on waiting to see his great-grandson. Once he was holding his great-grandson, he couldn't bear to tear himself away. It was only when his body couldn't take it anymore and protested that he allowed himself to be led away to rest.

Since the baby had woken up from his nap, Aunty Yue prepared the infant formula. Mother Jeon held the baby in one hand while using the other hand to feed the baby formula milk. During this time, Mother Jeon kept her son by her side while she went on and on about how to care for babies.

"The formula milk can't be too hot. Before feeding the formula milk to the baby, you should test the temperature each time. And, the bottle should be at this angle when you're feeding the baby..." Mother Jeon trailed off and sighed. "Never mind, you're busy with work and not home most of the day. You won't be taking care of the baby past a few days anyways."

Her daughter-in-law might as well be a widow with the amount of childcare support her son would provide.

When she had given birth to Jungkook, she had been alone in caring for him. Jeon Ji Yong would leave early and come home late. He continued his philandering lifestyle without sparing an iota of care for his newborn son. Although there were dedicated nannies in the household, Mother Jeon didn't feel secure leaving Jungkook with them. She always carried little Jungkook around to personally care for him.

From Jungkook's childhood to adulthood, Mother Jeon had felt very sorry for him. He didn't have his father's care. She felt that it was the lack of fatherly love in his childhood that caused Jungkook to become a cold and indifferent person.

She didn't want her newly born grandson to become like her son or to have to experience not having a father's presence and protection from a young age.

"Tell me more." Jungkook glanced at Ye Lisa, who was lying down on the hospital bed. He quietly said, "I'll take good care of this baby."

Mother Jeon paused before smiling.

In the end, he was the son that she, Lin Sandar, had personally raised and taught. Luckily, he wasn't as selfish as Jeon Ji Yong.

The warm, golden sunlight shone through the curtains. On the windowsill, there were a few pots of lovely, verdant evergreen plants. Jungkook's back was facing the windowsill. His gaze was serious and focused as he looked at the baby.

As Ye Lisa watched this heartwarming scene, her lips curved up into a satisfied smile. The more she looked at him, the more she felt that the sight of him listening to Mother Jeon's lecture was charmingly ascetic.

It was actually pretty good being the nominal Mrs. Jeon, huh?

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. A nurse pushed open the door and asked in a low voice, "Mr. Jeon, there’s a couple at the nurses station. They said they're Mrs. Jeon's parents, and they're here to see their daughter.

It was only now that Ye Lisa noticed that she hadn't seen the original owner's parents after coming to the hospital.

Jungkook nodded. "They can come in."

The Jeon's had reserved the first floor of this private hospital to ensure that Ye Lisa would be able to rest well. Jungkook had ordered the hospital staff to not allow visitors in without his permission.

And so, when the Ye's had gotten the news about Ye Lisa's hospitalization and rushed to the hospital, they had been stopped at the nurses station.

Everyone in the coastal city had said that Ye Lisa's marriage to Jungkook was the same as the Ye's successfully hugging onto the Jeon's thigh. Thus, once people perceived that the Ye's had been taken under the Jeon's protective wings, their status naturally rose up bit by bit. Outsiders expected that the Ye's would be awash with money.

Everyone had been smiling and congratulating Father Ye. Father Ye, who cared so much about how other people viewed him, could only smile and accept the congratulations, but he was agonizing on the inside.

He was the only one that knew the real truth. After Ye Lisa and Jungkook got married, and Jungkook had become his son-in-law, not only did the Jeon's not help his business, Jungkook wouldn't even meet him.

As Jeon Corporation's CEO, if Jungkook didn't want to meet someone, there would be bodyguards to stop that person from getting close. Even if Father Ye brought up Ye Lisa when, Jungkook still wouldn't meet him.

Even more embarrassing was that when he tried to get a meeting with Jungkook through Ye Lisa, she would repeatedly avoid seeing him by using her pregnancy as an excuse. He needed to talk to Jungkook to ask for capital on his investment ventures.
