I turned my attention to Mal and Ben. Mal was the first to step forward.
"I admit, since coming here I have made many mistakes but I have grown from them like we are supposed to. Now I can't refute one of the possible futures that Breanne saw, but I would have never betray the people I love or the people I'm supposed to protect." she declared and then was joined my brother.
"I love my sister. I did what I did to protect her from herself. She was haunted and i needed to protect her."
"By almost killing her!" Harry sprang up in a rage "You're full of..."
"Harry!" I called and he snapped his head towards me. Audrey placed and hand on his shoulder and grabbed his arm pulling him back to sit down.
"All my life I have had one purpose as future King, which is to do what is best for my country. I'm sorry that some people don't agree with how I have gone about certain things, but no one knows what is is to be a future King and then King when all eyes are on you and you have to make decisions." I heard a scoff, That was a Granny scoff. She was famous for them and I could pick it out of a crowd
It went back to prosecution with them given evidence and witness accounts that both were a danger to me and the rest of the country. Doctors were question to my treatment after Cotillion, and that Ben was warned of the dangers of suppressing my powers in the long term. I quickly wiped away a tear before dismissing court for the day and leaving.
The second day came too quick. Mal defended her action on her fight to not be her mother and how she loved Ben and the people of Auradon. She then went on to say how she felt betrayed by me that I could do something to my brother and think the worst in her after we got off to such a good start. Then the doors swung open, all of us turned our attention towards the arrival.
"Enchantress." I breathed as she glided in and towards the front. She curtsied towards me.
"I have come to defend my Queen and Successor." she declared glancing back at me
"22 years ago my spell was broken and King Adam learned his lesson thanks to his Queen. When the united the land and caught to protect others I was proud. When the carried on their line i saw a future a prosperous one but it was vague...I saw a Moarch beyond King Adam but their fate had yet to be decided. I bestowed what I perceived to be the right gifts on the children. I was right to do so, at least in one aspect. Queen Breanne has exceeded all expectations in my own power let alone in the one she was born with.
King Benjamin asked for my opinion on his sister and her visions. I will tell you what i told him. Most of the time a seers visions are objective and can be changed. There are only two exceptions to the rule. If they are persistent in content, meaning it is the same vision over and over again with more detail added, then it is a fixed point. Breanne becoming Queen was meant to happen, how she got there could be subjective and changed which we all witnessed. Having a vision leaves a feeling inside of you, but you may not remember it. That is something that needs to happen.
The former i explained to the King at the time, he refused to believe in it, in his own sister. I wish I could have done more but it was not my journey to walk, it was theirs. Benjamin says he had no choice and that he made on what information that was given to him. That is a lie. I warned him of the dangers not taking his sister seriously. He ignored me and other members of his family." There were more murmurings amongst the court and Jeremiah looked like he had just won.
The enchantress disappeared in a swirl of yellow smoke leaving us all with her testimony. Ben and Mal shared a look. I stood up and everyone became silent.
"We have heard from both sides. The people of the jury will make their decision. Should you decide guilty the sentence requested and petitioned is execution." The jury left and we took a break. I ran to the bathrooms and was sick.
"Bree!" Audrey lifted and held my hair back. Once I was done I sat back and wipe my mouth with a piece of tissue before breaking down. "I've got you, I've got you." She held my and helped me calm down. I washed my face and Audrey helped me put my face on. The two of us walked out and I stood taller. The biggest lie
That I was fine.

The decision had been made we all returned and I told a deep breath before addressing the jury.
"Have you made a decision which your all agreed upon?" i asked
"We are?" they answered all but one sat down "We find Lady Mal and Prince Benjamin guilty of all charges." my heart stopped for a moment as the words were spoken and I turned to the two who were genuinely shocked. I went to clarify judgement but my words never came out when a swirl of green smoke alongside a flash of blue fire made me shrink back. When it was clear I gasped
"Sweetie, we're home!" Maleficent cooed then cackled. Instinct took over and I turned into my Enchantress
"Now we're in for a fight." Hades commented then the two aimed their staff and ember at me and attacked. I blocked their attack as people screamed running out. i flashed from my place down to the where they were and launched a counter attack.
"Breanne!" I heard Harry yell
"Run!" i shout back as the three of us fought back and forth
"You think you can hurt our daughter? I am a God!" Hades hissed as Maleficent cackled once more
"Mother's home." she sent a bolt to me and i ducked.
"You two are no match for me, I was born to be a protector. My powers come from the heart not from an object." I held out my hands and sent the back. The groaned in pain and I helped get those that were trapped out.
"Harry make sure everyone is far back from this place as possible I need...." i gasped
