Professor Moody was casting the Imperius curse on the class today, he claimed it was 'to demonstrate its power and to see whether they could resist its effects'. Juno was sitting with Wayne on the very left side of the classroom at the front, they'd sat quietly since class began.

They'd watched as Moody played with each student like his own band of merry puppets. Harry was the only one able to throw off the curse—though he'd hurt himself in the process.

Juno was called to the front of the class and she stood like a soldier, waiting for whatever silly thing she'd be forced to do next.

"Imperio!" hissed Moody... but the curse did not reach Juno.

A dark mist—barely noticeable—caught the curse and swallowed it whole, like it had never been cast. The class and teacher all watched in confusion. Juno just stood there, oblivious to it all.

Moody's eyes widened dramatically, "Miss Scamander, I suggest you stay behind— the rest of you can leave, class dismissed!"

Shocked and very much confused of what just happened, Juno her friends and classmates leave with a frantic expression.

"Uhm, professor?" she asked timidly, "What's going on?"

Moody sat at his desk, both eyes focused on the girl, "It appears that when I cast the curse on you, a substance appeared from you and shielded you from the spell."

Juno's eyebrows furrowed in shock and confusion, "I'm afraid I don't understand. What do you mean, professor?"

"I will have to do some research, but for now, I think it's best if you don't talk about it with other students."

She didn't get to speak another word before being shooed out of the classroom to find the Hufflepuffs waiting outside for her.

"What was that?" they all demanded.

"I-I don't know," she stuttered, "He didn't even tell me, just said don't tell anyone."
