The first time Hayato met Mitsuki, he thought of her like any girl he met. He was indifferent towards her.
However, he was surprised when he found out she is Sawada Tsunayoshi's twin sister, the Vongola 10th Boss' sister.
Even though he was dedicated to Tsuna as his right-hand man, he couldn't help but to not get along with his sister.
She annoys him to the core but not to the point that he hated her.
He thought the blonde girl was not the same as her brother. The twins were too different that you wouldn't tell they were siblings.
That was true, in terms of their personality and physical appearance.
He does not see her as his Juudaime's sister that he should give respect to. But a girl that kept butting heads with him.
No girls kept on fighting with him, it's either they have a crush on him or they are scared of him.
After he lost the bet, he disliked her more than before. She kept on ordering him, tattering his pride. He also felt ashamed in front of his Juudaime as she needed to follow her.
Because the only one who can order him is his Juudaime. Why does he need to obey her, too? She was just his sister.
After a week of being her errand boy, he still finds himself putting out his cigarette in front of her as per her request not to smoke when she was with him.
He just recently realized it.
Does he care for her? No way.
He only cares for Vongola's 10th boss as his right-hand man and no one else.
Then, why does he feel bad when he accidentally broke her beloved gaming console?
Why does he want her to be happy and annoy her again? Why does he want her to not ignore her like that again? Does he just feel bad? Or does he actually miss her smile?
When he saw her getting cornered by some delinquents who were trying to find him from her, they grabbed her wrist and he felt his blood boil from anger.
He quickly punched the guy that dared to hurt her.
It was partly his fault that they targeted her so he felt angry that he let them hurt her like that.
She was shaken in fear but nevertheless smiled at him.
It sends warmth in his heart, that smile was bad for him.
Because his disliking towards her is getting smaller and smaller that it was ceasing to exist.
Not in his life would he expect that he would offer someone to be carried by him.
He does not want to admit it.
Heck, he will take his strange feelings for her to his grave if he has to.
But Hayato's feelings just grew and eventually, he experienced feelings of jealousy when Mitsuki gave Valentine's chocolate to Yamamoto.
It annoyed him.
Why was she stupidly so pretty when she gave chocolates to him?
Why does that woman he had grown to like get along with that baseball idiot?
Why not him?
And then, Mitsuki confessed her feelings to him all of a sudden that very same day.
He couldn't help but return her feelings and now they are in an awkward situation where both of them could not say anything after their confession.
