Chapter 18: Visitor

Liana rides her horse Midnight to see Clark. Clark smiles and says, "Hey." Liana smiles and says, "Hey." Clark says, "Midnight, haven't seen you in a long time." Liana softly laughs and says, "I finally got some time off from the Talon, I thought I'd take him out for a good run. He hasn't been out much since, um, Whitney. Chloe told me what happened at the electronics lab. Pretty wild." Clark says, "It was definitely weird. Like Cyrus is in his own world. Takes teenage alienation to a whole new level." Liana says, "Well, we all have our ways of escaping from our lives. I ride and write, Chloe writes and you... you do incredibly strenuous farm chores by yourself." Clark says, "Well I guess you know my deepest and darkest secret now." They both smile at each other. Clark goes to pet Midnight, but he moves away and Clark says, "Whoa, boy." Liana says, "He's been doing that a lot lately. Thought some air would do him good." Clark says, "Did you call the vet?" Liana says, "Yeah, um, he doesn't know what's wrong with him. Chalked it up to old age. Nell wants to sell him. She can't afford to stable him anymore." Clark smiles and says, "Why don't you board him here?" Liana says, "Would your parents be okay with it?" Clark smiles and says, "I don't see why not. It is a farm, after all." Liana smiles and says, "Thanks." Clark smiles right back. Later, Liana's at the Kent farm with Midnight, because he collapsed. Clark crouches next to Liana and says, "Not feeling too good?" Liana says, "I've seen him sick before, but never this bad." Clark says, "There's help on the way." Liana sniffs and says, "I can't lose Midnight, too." Clark says, "He's gonna be fine, Liana. He's a fighter. Just like his owner." Then Cyrus comes and says, "How could you betray me? You told that Chloe girl my secret. She wants to interview me." Clark says, "Cyrus, what are you talking about?" Cyrus says, "They'll send me to another shrink. They could lock me away again." Clark says, "This not them time nor place to talk about this." Cyrus says, "I never should have trusted you." Liana says, "Clark." Cyrus says, "What's wrong with him?" Clark says, "We don't know, the vet's on the way." Cyrus then kneels next to Liana and puts his head on Midnight. Cyrus says, "It's okay. You don't need all these people poking and prodding you, boy. I'll make you better." Liana and Clark watch Cyrus place his hands on Midnight and watch a glowing light come out of his hands and onto Midnight. Liana is amazed by how Cyrus healed Midnight and they watch Midnight get up. Liana goes to pet him and smiles and softly says, "Hey. Hey."

Two days later, Liana goes to see Clark. Liana says, "Clark, are you up there? Cyrus was at the Talon when the Child Protective Services took him away." Clark says, "What?" Liana says, "His foster parents said they couldn't handle him anymore. So they're sending him to the Smallville Medical Center for assessment."

The next day, Liana goes to see Clark. Liana softly says, "Hey. Whatever Cyrus did to Midnight wasn't temporary. It's like he's a colt again." Clark says, "Well, I'M glad some good came out of all this." Liana says, "Yes, Cyrus seemed really lonely." Clark says, "Liana, what if Cyrus really could have proven he was an alien?" Liana says, "What do you mean?" Clark softly smiles and says, "I mean, how would you feel about him if he actually was from another planet?" Liana says, "Well...um. I wouldn't think of him any different." Clark says, "So, you'd be comfortable knowing he was from a different planet?" Liana smiles and says, "Yeah I would." Clark smiles at her answer and Liana looks at the sky and says, "Clark, look. Think it's a spaceship?" Clark smiles and says, "It's just a shooting star." Liana softly smiles.

Note: In this episode it's Whitney's horse, so instead I did Liana's horse.
