As Eren entered the visiting area, his jaw nearly dropped. "Hange?"
The perky girl smiled playfully, laying her head on her hand. Connie sat next to her, his hands folded neatly on the table. They seemed comfortable, but it was clear that something was on their mind.
Eren hesitated to sit down, remembering that Levi said Hange framed him. Levi also mentioned that Hange wanted to hurt him, but he believed she wouldn't do something like that in a public space.
"I'm guessing you heard the news." Hange said nonchalantly. "Levi has escaped and is now missing."
Eren stayed silent, glowering at the two. Connie gave Hange a confused look, but the girl brushed it off.
She continued, "Eren, why did you let Levi escape?" She sounded like a mother talking to a toddler.
Eren scoffed, "Levi is innocent. He told me about how you framed him and how you're gonna try to hurt me!"
Connie chortled, "And you believe that psycho?"
Eren slammed his hand on the table, alerting some nearby nurses. He held back his anger knowing that he'd be sedated if he didn't. Hange was taken back by Eren's outburst.
"I've got my memories back." Eren informed. "I know that Jean and Zeke are working with you, and I also know that Levi is the one I trust. Armin told me the truth."
Hange chuckled, "But I'd make a million dollar bet that you still don't remember the red room." Eren's expression contorted into confusion. "Once you remember the red room, then everything will make sense. Why don't you ask the doctor how you got here in the first place."
Eren was silent, shocked that he missed a big factor to his past. How did he end up in the asylum? He made a note in his mind to ask Levi later, but he still acted unfazed. Hange smiled pleasantly before standing.
"We'll be in touch!"
The girl and her ally walked away, Hange's ponytail swinging innocently. Eren stared into space for a minute, thinking over the conversation he had. He shook his head and went to grab Levi.
Levi had finished changing into the uniform and hoodie when Eren arrived. The teen adjusted the other's hood to hide his raven hair.
"Alright, just let me do the talking and keep your head down." Eren instructed.
Levi understood, and the two began to make their way back up to Eren's unit. They got a few odd stares from staff, but unsual was normal in an asylum. As they entered the unit, Eren psychiatrist stopped them.
"Who came to visit you?" He asked.
Eren shrugged, "Some girl from school."
"Right, and who is this?" The doctor leaned down to look at Levi's face, but he quickly ducked behind Eren for cover.
"A new friend of mine. I want him to stay because he makes me feel calm." Eren explained, his eyes bright.
The doctor wanted to say no, not wanting to take care of another patient, but hearing the word 'calm' made him agree. The nurses growled under their breath as he nodded.
"Fine, but don't cause trouble, and they are responsible for meeting with their assigned psychiatrist." He clarified.
Eren beamed and pulled Levi into his room. Once the door shut, Eren began to lightly chuckle. Levi checked for cameras before pulling back his hood.
"And they won't check me for records or ID?" Levi asked.
"They don't care as long as they get paid and we stay quiet." Eren explained, Moving towards the window.
He peered out down below and caught a glimpse of Hange on the phone with someone. Levi walked up behind him to see what he was staring at, but Hange had hopped in her car, out of view.
"It was Hange." Eren revealed. Levi cursed under his breath. "She wanted to ask me why I let you escape."
Levi looked up to Eren, trying to read his face; however, the teen's face was blank, empty of expression. The brunette gazed into Levi's eyes.
"She also mentioned something about a red room."
Levi bit his lip, trying to find an explanation. The raven explained, "The red room was a place in the Fox Hole, the underground bar my Uncle used to run before the police raided it. One of the back rooms was known as the Red Room. It was a place where criminals did horrible things with out being interrupted."
Levi looked down at the van driving away. "Hange put us in that room with Armin, your mom, Mikasa, and Sasha. She killed Mikasa and Sasha."
Levi was a smooth liar. His tone, his physical movement, his words were perfectly done to seem honest. Eren believed every word the raven spoke.
"The four of us managed to escape, but Hange made it seem like the roles were reversed, like I was the murderer."
Eren pulled Levi into a hug, feeling sympathy for the boy. Levi would eventually tell him the truth, but he would have to wait until there was no where for Eren to run. Levi had to get Eren to that island where Kenny and Carla were.
"Levi," Eren muffled in his hair. "You would never hurt anybody...unless they deserved it like Jean did."
Levi chuckled, returning the embrace. That line proved that Eren was okay with violence as long as it wasn't murder, which brought a small amount of joy to Levi. He didn't know how, but he was going to turn Eren into a murder like him...whether he liked it or not. And he knew which person he want Eren to kill first.
"Eren, we need to get rid of Jean." Levi pointed out, pulling back. "If he attacks you, he could kill you like Hange wants."
Eren paused, "What do you have in mind?"
