|A Walk In The Woods|

It was a cold day in December.

Christmas was over and you decided to go on a small trek in the woods near camp. Unfortunately, you were a bit terrified of the dark woods, so you asked your best friend - Nico Di Angelo to accompany you on your little trek.

He gladly obliged as he had nothing to do anyways and both of you wore your snow boots and walked up a hill. As you went higher, it became much colder and soon you were shaking in your shoes!

Nico, being the gentleman he is placed his arm around your shoulders and guided you down the hill as you thanked him continuously.

When you got down, you glomped Nico and after you let go of him, you scratched the back of your head nervously and mumbled, "I don't even know what was even in my head when I decided to go out in this freezing cold."

Nico just smiled and muttered something under his breath. You gave him a confused look, "Come again?" Nico just shook his head as you shrugged and led him to Zeus' Fist. You whistled and the branches of the nearest tree shook, Nico jumped a bit but didn't really make it that obvious.

You giggled and went and sat on a rock as a tree nymph walked up to you and handed you a guitar made purely of wood, the strings were of a special kind, they were the same metallic strings, but they were specially made by a cyclops that was a close friend of yours.

You patted the empty space on the rock beside you. As Nico sat beside you, you took a deep breath and started singing:

"I hung up the phone tonight

Something happened for the first time

Deep inside it was a rush

What a rush...

'Cause the possibility 

That you would ever feel the same way about me

You let out a small sigh as your eyes locked with Nico's, and you continued:

"Why do I keep running from the truth?

All I ever think about is you

So mezmerised

And I've just got to know..."

You were slightly interrupted by Nico's sweet, melodious voice syincing with yours as both of you sang:

"Do you ever think

Where this thing could go?

Am I crazy or falling in love?

Is it real or just another crush?

Like the way you do?

Both of you stopped singing and gave each other warm and knowing smiles as you cuddled on top of that same rock.

But before you left, both Nico and you engraved your names on that rock "Nico+(Y/N)= ♥"

And of course, both of you thought it was too cheesy, but it was a testament to the first time you professed your love for each other.
