"Hey." Iylah called out to Scott who stood at the bottom of the stairs.

Scott's lips tugged up into a grin upon seeing the brunette who approached him. "Hey."

"Busy?" Iylah wondered, using her right hand to hold onto the railing.

The McCall held up his phone, gesturing to it as he spoke. "No, no, it's just my mom. She's nothing."

Seeing the look of confusion on Iylah's face, Scott was quick to realise how that might have sounded and was quick to correct himself. "I mean, it's nothing. I'm never busy to hang out with you."

Iylah sighed, seeing the agitated expression on his face. "Okay, what's wrong with you?"

Scott sighed deeply. "Um, Derek may have payed me a little visit last night, threatening me if I was to play the game on Saturday because he saw what happened in practice."

"Oh my god," Iylah said, practically rolling her eyes at the comment. She took a deep breath before going to tell him. "Okay, I'm gonna talk to him about how to properly talk to people, but he does have a point about you needing control. He just needs to learn not to be so violent."

"Anyway. I gotta get going but I'll see you later, okay?" Iylah sighed, receiving a nod from Scott before she walked away.

"Oh. There she is." Iylah heard Lydia mumble from a distance away, seeing the girl walking down the hall towards her. "Iylah! Come with me to talk to more lacrosse players."

"I would..." Iylah trailed off, trying to make up an excuse. "But I'm in a rush. I need to find my brother before he falls over something and hurts himself."

"Okay, see you later then?" Lydia called out to the brunette, watching as she began to rush away from her.

"Yeah!" Iylah responded, rounding the corner as Lydia turned on her heel and walked away.

Since Iylah had fallen asleep early with her phone in her hand, Stiles used this as his chance to sneak out the house without her knowledge since their father was still at the station so she was home alone.

So that morning, Iylah went to go talk to Derek only to stop a distance away from the house seeing cop cars surrounding the place.
