After everyone left I heard Chris playing the piano from the other room. I stood in the doorway, watching him.
He motioned for her to sit on the bench with him.
As I sat he leaned over, kissing me on the cheek.
"I promise, you're the only woman to ever sit here with me. I love you so much." He took the ring from his pocket, setting it on top of the piano.
He didn't say anything as I watched him set the ring on the top of the piano. It was silver with a round diamond and little diamonds on the sides. "Chris..."
"Shh." He nudged her as he began playing the piano again.

He grabbed the ring, turning to face her to see tears streaking down her face, "like I said. There's no one else for me, but you. Marry me Kathryn."
I laughed, letting him put the ring on my finger, "you're insane."
He nodded, "that wasn't a no."
I shook my head, "it wasn't a no." I heard him laugh as I pulled his lips to mine. I felt him grab my waist, pulling me into his lap.

~~5 Years Later~~
"This is all I ever wanted you know." I looked at Chris as he helped our now 4 year old daughter making pancake batter. "A family."
He nodded, leaning over to kiss her, much to their daughter's chagrin.
"That's gross!"
We both laughed as I felt him place a hand on my stomach where his son was currently growing.
"Me too Kate." He grabbed her waist, pulling her to him, "and there's no one I'd rather be here with."
I nodded, "me too."
"Can we watch Captain America after breakfast?"
I laughed at our daughter, "sure." I still preferred my Chris to the one everyone else got to see in his movies. But our daughter still saw him as a super hero, and there was no way I would ever ruin that for her. I looked up to see Chris wink at me.
