"Coran, how soon will we get to the Blade of Marmora's base?", Shiro asked as the whole group sat in the control room. Pidge, Hunk and Lance were near Allura's podium, arms folded as they looked at the screen, while you sat by Keith, occupying one of the arms of his chair and holding his hand in attempts to comfort him.

"Based on the coordinates that Ulaz gave us, we should be there in a few doboshes,", Coran informed.

"I can't wait to see it! I mean, they were able to fold space-time, and that was just at an outpost!", Pidge gushed, her fondness for the solely Galran rebellion organisation growing. You nodded, agreeing that what they had already proven to be able to do was impressive.

"Mm, the space taco. It left us too soon,", Hunk pouted, rubbing his stomach as he thought about food. A soft rumbling noise came from him, but it was ignored, this happening all too often when he mentioned food.

"Well, sure. But my point is, imagine how amazing their home base will be!", she exclaimed to the taller male, holding her arms out in excitement.

"Exactly. It could take on any shape,", he agreed. "Like a space jelly doughnut. Or long, like a space eclair. Or a space cheese blintz with a cherry sauce on top. Maybe a little dusting of powdered sugar. That's the stars,", all the talk of food got to Lance, and he found himself holding his stomach and whining.

"Aw! Now I'm hungry for breakfast,", you felt Keith's hand begin to grip yours tightly, and you winced at the force. Realising his mistake, Keith loosened his hold on your hand, shooting you an apologetic look, but you could tell something else was on his mind as he looked back down, violet eyes revealing his mind was somewhere else.

"Guys, this is a serious mission. We need to focus,", he fumed. Your hands moved to his shoulders, and he seemed to inhale deeply before relaxing his body slightly. He was still tense, but you took it as a small win, considering he seemed restless.

"We need to focus,", Lance mocked, making a silly face. Sighing, you prepared for them to burst into an argument, but that luckily never happened as Coran interrupted them.

"The base is in range,", he said.

"Take us in slowly,", Coran tried to do as Shiro had asked, moving the castle forward slightly but then coming to a stop.

"That may prove to be the tiniest bit of a challenge,", he mused, looking down. Everyone did the same, only now spotting the large, wormhole-like phenomenon, except in the middle of two wormholes was a bright blue sphere surrounded by something of the same colour.

"Is that a black hole?", Hunk questioned.

"No, no, no, no, no, no,", Coran reassured him. "It's two black holes and a giant blue star,"

"That's not better,", Hunk commented.

"Why make it sound as if it was?", you added, squeezing Keith's shoulder. He looked up at you, offering a gentle smile as he rested his hand on yours, rubbing his thumb over your knuckles.

"No kidding it's not better,", Pidge said. "Just inside a black hole, the temperature is one-billionth of a degree above absolute zero. But, just outside of that, it's hundreds of millions of degrees celsius,", your eyes widened at the statement, but Hunk seemed to get something from it.

"Okay, it's like when you try to nuke a frozen burrito in the microwave, and it comes out scorching hot on the outside, but it's still frozen in the middle, right?", he looked at Pidge for confirmation.

"Now I'm hungry for lunch!", Lance interrupted again, but this time it seemed to push Keith off the edge. Unable to anticipate this, you watched as he stood up, a deadly glare on his face as he looked towards Lance.
